My school is in my hometown and it still gives you the small town feeling.

I like the location of this school. For me, I am far enough away from home, but yet close enough that I can go home. The school is very safe. I feel protected at all times while walking to class or visiting a friend across campus. I can walk to class within ten minutes or less of leaving my dorm. Other colleges require a student to leave fifteen or twenty minutes earlier to be at class on time. This college is laid out to where every academic building and dorm room is within easy walking distance.

The exceptional physics program stood out most in my decision to attend Angelo State University.

It's a lot smaller.

You get to meet your teachers one and one which helps them to determine if you a serious student or not.

Its smaller, so the communication is more one on one.

ASU IS A BIG SCHOOL, BUT SMALL ENOUGH TO MAKE YOU FEEL APPRECIATED AND THAT YOU FIT IN. THE PROFESSORS ARE OUTGOING AND WILLING TO ASSIST US.

you dont have to worry about being in a large lecture hall. the teachers can focus more on you and not 100 other students.

My school houses the backup files for the state

I really liked the smaller size of the campus and the student/teacher ratio. The campus was very easy to traverse and I like that, compared to a place like UT Austin or UT San Antonio, where parking is virtually non-existant and the campuses are huge. It was also very easy for me to choose and paricipate in multiple student organizations.

What I love most about my school is the transition between highschool to here. I feel that it isn't to much compared to other big schools. I feel the school is just the right size. I didnt wanted to be considered as just a number, compared to most Division 1 schools. I love that i can mingle and get extra help from my professors and that if i were to go up to get help they would already know my name without me saying anything to them.

Our school shares a unique bond between each other. While walking to classes across campus, you pass a person you have never met before and receive a big smile. In the computer labs, students work together and help each other achieve their maximum potential whether or not they know each other. It's is almos tlike one big happy family.
