Angley College Top Questions

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Shannon

Shannon, please remain enrolled in your initial college choice and complete your courses. It may seem overwhelming at first but all that hard work will pay off. Withdrawing from college now will only mean working a series of jobs you hate only to realize years later that what you have now is the best thing for you. I suggest that you only take a few classes at a time while you're in your pre-requisite phase. Then once you're in your program, go full time and make every moment count. Ask for help if you need it. There are many, many resources available on campus for you to utilize. Take advantage of these. Even though you're painfully shy now, force yourself to branch out and get involved with college life. This will be help you grow into the young woman you were always meant to be. Never settle for less. That tech school in Deland you were considering is not the answer!! Stay the course you are on now, you'll be glad that you did!

The advice I would give myself would be to just follow your dreams. Eventhough there are many struggles along the way, eventually the hard work will pay in. The road to success is almost always under constuction. I believe that you are never truley happy with your career choice unless you absolutely persue your dream career.

Go to college right out of school. Do not start having children untill you have graduated and have a career so you can take care of yourself and all of your children. Make sure that you are able to provide for them and give them a great life.
