People typically dress casual. No one cares what you wear.
It's a mixed bag, especially in larger lectures. There's girls who wear tank tops and Victoria's Secret sweatpants, but there's also girls who wear jeans and t-shirts. Guys usually wear jeans and t-shirts, but occasionally you'll see a few people dressed formally (I assume they are grad students and currently working).
Shorts, t-shirts, jeans and flip flops are pretty common. Flip flops are worn with everything! It's common to see school sweatshirts, but you won't ever seen a snow jacket here.
