Arizona State is a really great campus for the outgoing, friendly, and party type kind of people. For others like me, who don't have the biggest personality and make friends easily ASU can be very overwhelming. There are many different types of people who go to this school, but I would say that most of the kids look down on other's for not being in a sport, club, or frat. They have high standards here in all aspects of a person, and for some people who are laid back and enjoy smaller classes. I highly suggest looking into other schools,

What is your overall opinion of this school?

Being rewarded number one in the nation for innovation by Newsweek is likely what most of the Arizona State University faculty and student body will pride their college on. It is a particularly impressive rank, above the likes of MIT and Stanford; yet, an outsider must wonder how such an outwardly uninspiring facility could outclass the top research institutions scattered across the country. Much like ASU's notorious secret garden, the answer is hidden deeper than what may meet the eye. The campus life maintains a robust, dynamic environment during the day that complements the urban setting it embodies. During my freshman year of college, I found the scenery to be ordinary but learned to appreciate the culture more than the physical environment itself. The students breathe life into the campus, whether it be by biking from class to class, cramming for finals in the Hayden Library, or distributing fliers for potential startup companies. Every walk across campus is its own adventure, giving the setting a new meaning and vibrancy each time. The college was built on the foundation of research and constantly treats progress as a principle. In the face of complacency, the culture on campus reaffirms the beauty in devising new ways of solving many of the world's problems. The public environment of the university also ensures a blend of different backgrounds to encounter on the path to achieving one's goals, thus propelling one to embrace the diversity common in the workforce. As a timid freshman, I did not expect much from Arizona State, particularly because my first choice was Brown University. With a rejection from an Ivy silently weighing on me, I had no choice but to enroll for my local college and count down the days until I could try to get into a better school after my undergraduate experience. Yet, a year on, I have never felt so at peace with where I chose to attend college. The structure of the public research university allows anybody to make the mark that they want to, and spearhead those interests they feel should be more relevant. It allows a student to prosper and chase the American dream through deliberation, failure, and success. These experiences vary from student to student, but for each individual, they culminate into a vibrant college life that never ceases to challenge and demand from its growing population. It also provides these opportunities early on; in my freshman year, I was able to intern at a Mayo Clinic lab on campus. Such an experience for a freshman was beyond my expectations, yet the research culture at ASU has allowed countless others to engage with their field in the same way. Nestled in the heart of Tempe, ASU not only bleeds maroon and gold but a passion for changing the status quo and strives to outcast any stagnancy. If one seeks to make a mark in the path of efficiency and breakthroughs, then consider Arizona State University, the capitol of innovation. Just don't expect too much in the way of beautiful weather for half of the year; sunscreen is almost a prerequisite for attending.

I love ASU and especially Barrett, the Honors college. They have lots of events and clubs always going on somewhere on campus. If you are looking for something to do, there will never be a dull moment. The academics are great although some professors are definitely better than others (but that is any school). All the professors and staff members are really nice and truly want to see you succeed. I have met a lot of really great people here both in and out of class. I have already participated in an intramural sport and joined a few clubs. There are so many ways to get involved on campus with I believe 90,000 students on the Tempe campus alone.

Overall, I can say that I love ASU. Growing up in the city of Tempe I was always terrified of college. I felt as though going to a big college like ASU was not only scary but stressful. I feared the thought of not being able to succeed and such a huge environment as well as the stresses of paying for each aspect of my college experience. Luckily, I overcame this fear and I am now thriving. ASU has given me the chance to truly develop my mind and overcome many educational fears. I have been open to so many opportunities and I am forever grateful for it all.

Choose challenging classes or else you won't learn anything. A majority of the classes are very easy to do. There is a fun social atmosphere, but only if you know people or places to go. Some dorms are better than others, but there are lots of new facilities around campus

I love Arizona State University. We work hard and we party harder. We are number one in innovation. You will always see students innovating new ways to do things, including two people on a longboard, using a unicorn floatie as a raft, using a door for outdoor recreational activities. We love finding new ways to make Arizona hotter and more fun, although that might be impossible because were already in 120 degree heat.

I am quite proud to be an ASU student! I feel as though ASU is a welcoming place, where you will quickly adapt and learn to love the environment. There are always events happening, there are lots of academic resources, and there are plenty of extra curricular activities to get involved in. I feel like I made the best choice for myself by choosing ASU!
