Arkansas Tech University Top Questions

I wished I would have known what credits transfered to this College and what classes they would accept so I could cut down on the cost to obtain a degree while still working and providing for my family. They are working well with me but I am in a waiting period to see if Tech will honar a Partnership with the Criminal Justice Institute. I also wish I would have known how much my ACT score would have impacted my ability to get a scholorship and been offered more recources in thow to prepare for the ACT before college.

Nothing really

That it sets you up for a future. I honestly was not expecting everything that I have seen thus far. But it is about hard work and hard work is what you are going to have to put forth. I wish I would have known that. i thought it was going to be a breeze. Setting foot on the pavement said otherwise. Would not want it any other way though. You will get where you are going.

What degree I wanted to pursue.

I wish I had known that I only needed to get 1 point higher on the ACT to get a full ride at this school. I also wish I had known that I could work at the school to help pay for college. One more thing I wish I had known about is internships and how to attain them.

That the parking is limited get there early.

I wish that I would have known where everything was because for the first week or so it was a little hard getting around to where I needed to be. However, there was a map available and it just took time to get used to the campus.

I wish I had known how to better handle problems. I would have loved to have known what students thought of the counseling center and the faculty. I would have wanted to know just what kind of activities would best suite me but i guess there is still time for that.

I wish I had known what I wanted to do with my life, what I should major in and what to expect about college. High school does not prepare you for what college life will be like.

I wish I'd known how much information could be found in the library. It's very extensive because it's centered around their Internet website. The library isn't that large, although it isn't small either. It's just that I didn't realize that it was actually a lot bigger when the amount of information on the Internet is included. Also, I didn't know much about the work-study system. It took me 2 semesters for me to figure out I was able to work on campus.

I wish I had known how the student section at the football games acted. They need to be more energetic and interactive, like University of Central Arkansas.

I wish I would have known that they did not have any dorms available.
