What do you consider the worst thing about Asbury University? Why?

I literally haven't come across anything I don't like--I LOVE Asbury. It is in a small town which some people don't like, but I enjoy (especially because Lexington isn't that far away).

The control exerted by the staff and alumni board can be downright oppressive, sometimes. It's supposedly in the interest of the student body, but it's really a controlling, suffocating type of leadership. Generally, the rules and leadership have been loosening over the years, but it's a slow-moving machine. Also, the internet is locked down so that online gaming is impossible. That may change in the near future, though.

I really didn't like how my school was not as racialy diverse as I was used to growing up. I feel like it would have been a better atmosphere if there were more difference of race at my college.

Some may be bias that there is nothing wrong with theie school in order to gain "extra credit" for being overly positive about their school but I will state that the worst thing I concider about my school is that it does not encourage students to stand up and proclain themselves because the students feel that they would violate too many restrictions, which can sometimes prevent people from truely expressing themselves. While it may prevent outragous students from attending, the current students somethimes feel trapped and held under regulations that may appear unnecessary.

The worst thing about Asbury College is the tuition. It is very expensive and keeps rising every year. The education we recieve is definitely worth how much we pay, but paying off loans after college is getting more difficult with the current economic status.

The only thing I would consider inconveint about Asbury, is the reqirement to attend chapel three times a week. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday we are to attend chapel from 10- 10:50. The whole campus attends this and is required to sit in assigned seating. There are "chapel checkers" who spend the time checking to see if you are there that day or not. If your absent, sleeping, eating, etc you get marked absent. The only good part is we recieve .25 credit each semester for attending.

It's not as well known as it should be. it's an amazing place.
