GREEK LIFE. There are four fraternities and four sororities on campus. I personally never thought I would join a sorority and I didn't go through rush my first semester. But one of my really good friends did, and convinced me to go through informal recruitment and I'm so glad I did. You meet a ridiculous amount of people. Athletics are also pretty popular on campus. Something like 70{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} of the total students are involved in a varsity sport. We also have club and intramural sports (I play on the women's club fastpitch softball team).
Many students on campus are involved in more than one activity. A variety of my friends participate in the rugby team, quiddich team (you hear me right!), Greek Life, Campus Activities Board, Tech Crew, Orientation Team, academic honoraries, and various other activities. On campus, I am involved in Alpha Phi Sorority, Alpha Lambda Delta Academic Honorary, TV-2, 88.9 WRDL, The Collegian Newspaper, and Habitat For Humanity. I met most of my closest friends through Greek Life. Greek Life on AU's campus is unlike any other campus. The Greek's aren't your stereotypical partying, drinking, class-skipping students. The Greek Life men and women value scholarship, philanthropy, and brotherhood/sisterhood highly. About 20{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} of campus is Greek.
