Athens State is a fantastic college with a wide range of classes and schedules to fit most students' needs. I am majoring in Acquisition and Contract Management and I know that I am learning the skills that will give me a competitive edge on the job market.
A very clean school with many professors and staff who genuinely care. Many of the staff will email students back after office hours. Everyone is very helpful and if they do not know the answer to a specific question, they will give you someone's information who does.
I love Athens State University. When I transferred from a different college, Athens State University help me with the transition. It was a smooth process and every department was very helpful and informative. I would recommend any student to attend Athens State University, because they truly treat the students like family.
The school has such a beautiful campus with historic buildings that have character and state of the art equipment for studies. The students and staff are all very friendly and helpful. The teachers really enjoy helping and wanting to see the students succeed.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Athens State University is %. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
I would tell other students to research all the schools they are intersted in. They should find out cost of attendance and how prominent their study of major is at the school. Other schools offer the education program, however after careful research I found out that Athens offers a better variety of classes and availabilities making it easy to finish the degree in five semesters. This is a very important factor when finding a school.
I really do not find anything frustrating about the school that I attend. I currently take on-line classes and work full-time. The time constraints can be frustrating sometimes. The faculty at Athens State University are very helpful.
Most all of my classmates are working people, who are taking classes online in order to get their degree.
The best thing about the school that I attend is that the school and the classes are the perfect size to be conducive to learning. The classes are just small enough to be able to build relationships and class cohesion while at the same time being large enough to bring several different perspectives to the table expanding the discussion topics. I enjoy the interaction between the class and the instructors/professors in the classes that I have taken. Classes are offered in several different formats but nothing really brings it to life like being in the room at Athens.

The school only concentrates on its students. Teachers are good with knowing what students need, there is little pressure to be exceptional, only to do what is needed for school. Students that are going here tend to enjoy the classes they take, because they have done the research and gone to a school that is not too expensive and still offers its students off campus classes, along with faculty that want to help you when you are getting closer to graduation. The teachers are usually members of the fields, so they tend to have practical forms of teaching.
The school I am attending for my edcuation is best known for its quality online degree programs.
Because I had attended a very small community college before transferring to Athens State, I felt very sheltered when it came to academics. Also, the classes at the community college were ridiculously easy compared to the classes at the university. Although I feel much more stimulated in my classes now, I wish I would've known how much harder the classes are at a university.
My school is know for their education program, in which I am involved in.
family oriented, working parents, single parents, older adults, prospective teachers and liberal arts majors, people who like smaller classes and friendly professors, country cored people, people not looking for any drama
If your looking for anonymity Athens is probably not the school for you. Athens is exemplary of Southern hospitality. You'll be made to feel like your right at home and these big beautiful old colonial buildings are your house!
Athens State University is career-oriented and faculty strives for students to do their best.
The academics at Athens State is focused on learning and helping the student understand the material. All the professors I've had have truly cared about me, as a student and person.
