If I could go back in time and invite myself out for coffee and a nice chat about my future, I wouldn't hesitate to repeat a quote from Albert Einstein that I had never fully understood until I attended college: "“Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” This quote became especially significant to me after struggling with academics throughout my life and wondering why I could never be superior at math or English. One thing I was good at, however, was art. I would tell my past self not to feel worthless because I couldn't pass a chemistry test in fourth block during senior year because (for lack of better terms, as my mother would always say), "Your brain just isn't wired that way." I was a fish that couldn't climb the towering trees of high school but I am a fish that can bravely swim in the deep oceans of creativity and splash colors the world has never seen.
The school was absorbed into SCAD, so the focus might be more commercial now. It used to be housed in the Woodruff Arts Center, which put it close to the Symphony, the Theatre and the High Museum of Art, so the emphasis was fine art. SCAD has always been a bit more commercial, so they might have toned down the fine art aspect of the curriculum.
The people eho should attend this school are those that want to express themselves in any way possible. The attendies dont even have to have any experience in the arts just the will and drive to strive in the art community.

Someone who is shy about their work and not willing to put in hard work and a lot of work hours.
When bragging about Atlanta College of Art, I never fail to mention how wonderful the professors are and how creative the school's interior looks.
