Well, I was homeschooled so I believe my advice to myself would be a bit different of that to a highschool student, but it would go something like this. "Brandon, Focus!" Since I have issues focusing that would be my first issue to address. I did Well at ACCC but there are still improvements to be made. College is much harder than highschool not only the workload, or the difficulty level of work. But the independence is what dooms most students, they do not know how to handle it. The balance of school and partying is sadly one-sided. I'd advsise myself to be aware of the stationary people, students not going anywhere who will hold you back. The most critically important advice would be, a better allocation of my time. As I am waiting to Matriculate to Johnson&Wales university in September I'm preparing myself for two years possibly more. I have an already solid foundation but it can be built upon. I'm excited to be moving forward to my bachelors and im going to do well,no matter what the cost. I am determined to be great!

I would tell myself to let nothing stand in my way and go to college. I would make sure, that I would make every effort to find the information, financial aid and scholarships to make this dream come true. I would say that the path you choose will lead you to an end result in life, but that may not always be the way to go, the ends does not always jsutify the means. That decision will impact my life forever, and I can never get back that time or opportunity, but I can make new ones. It is what we do that makes us, not what we dream and fail to make happen, at certain times in our lives. Thank you so much for the opportuniy to make my dreams happen!

?The years teach much which the days never know? Ralph Waldo Emerson. Those words have been ringing in my ears since the day my college literature teacher brought them up in a discussion. If I could go back three years ago and tell myself a few things about life after senior year, I might consider it. As a senior in high school I cared about two things: spending as much time as possible with my friends, and doing just enough work to pass. I wish I could go back and tell myself not to worry about my friends who were going away to colleges; that we would still be friends today and I should focus on getting outstanding grades instead of just scraping by with a C+. Most people, when asked about going back in time to change things, will respond the same: yes, there are certain things we could have avoided in the past had we been smarter. Where would we be now? That is my question. The things we see now are different in the way we looked at them 10 years ago, and even 10 years from now.

Well, knowing what i know now, i would have to tell myself to improve my study habits and prepare for a real challenge. High school is nothing compared to the amount of work that goes into my college, and even though its challenging, I'm truly learning a lot.

If I could go back in time and talk to myself as a high school senior, I would tell myself to apply to as many college as possible. By doing that it would give you more than enough options. Also, to vist as many college as possible, so you would know which college is right for you. Visting colleges could help someone know if they would be comfortable there or not. Doing all this can make your transition from high school to college easier to adjust to.

I would tell myself to apply to more scholarships and to shoot for the stars because anything is possible. There is nothing that i cant do as long as i put my mind to it.

The best advice I would give myself is to study. study, and study even more! My high school studying was nothing compared to what I have to do now to achieve an "A" paper. I would learn how to utilize my listening skills when taking notes and to never overlook the crucial parts of a professor's lecture. I would also advise myself to not save my studying to the night before. I mean it's not high school anymore and a final examination can take weeks worth of studying!

I would make sure to tell myself to jsut culm down and know that everything is going to be ok. Your going to figure what you would like to do, your going to love your school and most of all when you come out of the cloest your college life is going to be that much more amazing. You will finally know who you are and start living your live, its going to be amazing. Working and going to school is not as easy as you would have hoped but you will do just fine. Last i would tell myself that even though mom and dad told you there not going to pay for your school, dont freak out like you did. Stay culm and think of ways to help your self pay for schooling. Its going to be worth it and you will make it!
