Courtney

Excellent. Beautiful campus. Great instructors. Really cares about it's students.

Leslie

Auburn University is the definition of what I like to call "family". The relationships and guidance you gain from Auburn is such a blessing. Its hard to get home sick while attending Auburn because of the small town homey atmosphere. I love Auburn and will be a forever Auburn Tiger!

Auburn is a great school. It is a great small college town school with a very welcoming feel. The best part about the school for me has to be the sports. We have a huge sports program and going to watch all of the games is a thrill. People get very involved in these games and make the atmosphere very exciting at all of the events. Also I love the dining options we have on campus. The one thing i don't like is the lack of parking at the school. This is an issue that is currently being dealt with though. Overall the faculty at Auburn is very helpful and nice, they are willing to help with any situation that i have encountered or heard other people encounter.

Jordan

The best thing about Auburn University is the Auburn Family. Everyone has a great sense of school spirit and pride and this is especially evident on game day. Winning season or losing season, Auburn students and alumni are all in. As the last line of our creed says, "I believe in Auburn and love it".

saketh

Its like, huge college and got all facilites like transport within college, online library, lots of parking space and sports day is such a pride, Football. War Eagle!!

Allison

Auburn is, in my opinion, one of the greatest universities in the southeast. Auburn has a lot of students, but it has such a small town feel to it. Being from a relatively small town I was a little nervous about coming to a school with such a large number of students, but I have never felt like just another person. I have had some awesome professors who absolutely love what they teach and have shared their passion for the subject with me. Being in Auburn has also provided a great deal of opportunity for me, including traveling outside the United States, meeting people from all different cultures, and learning from some of the most intelligent people I have ever met. Of course, every one has heard about Auburn football. And it is like nothing else I have ever experienced. I look forward to Saturdays in the fall because it is like a family in and of itself.

I love Auburn so much! From the first time I set foot on campus I knew I could see myself here. The student body, alumni, professor, and fans, are all part of the Auburn family and we all love our traditions and our football! Game days are incredible! Auburn is just the right size in my opinion, with 25,000 undergrad we're big, but not huge. We are most definitely a college town and its perfect!

Jennifer

I think it's a good school academically and there is definitely a lot of great people to meet. Entertainment-wise, gotta get out of the college town and into Atlanta for some fun.

Arthur

From what I have gathered from the past two years here is that people here didn't pick the school because of any academic reasons but because of the intense hate they have for the University of Alabama football team or because there is a long family tradition of going to Auburn. People really don't come to Auburn because it is a pinnacle of academia unless they are from Mississippi where the educational system is worse.

Laura

The best thing about Auburn is the reputation. It ranks highly in many categories and tends to generate a positive response when people ask where I attend school. I'm not particularly fond of campus life or student culture here (see above), but am sticking it out because I have a nice scholarship. The place is beautiful, but the novelty of living in a nice place with school spirit has worn off. I encourage students who don't feel like they fit in to try to find things to do off-campus (find a job, join a church, do community service, etc.) because (ironically) the town and its people are actually really cool, diverse, and more socially "progressive." (US News ranked Auburn a top 10 place to live and Auburn High is a top 30 public school in the nation.) Doing these things has gotten me through the past several years.

Auburn University is a great university if: 1. You know a large group of people already attending the school and you intend to be friends with these people for the rest of your life and have no aspirations about establishing new relationships 2. If you are willing to sacrifice what bit of individuality you have to fit in and join the so called "Auburn family", and spend the rest of your life lying to yourself about who you are 3. You are the epitome of the "happy dancing Negro" or the "ultra-conservative traditional southern white" stereotypes 5. You are a talented southern football player who in that case is basically seen as a post civil war version of a slave 4. You go through the school day by day focused on nothing but school and studying and you have tunnel vision on your degree and future. If none of these apply to you prepare for the most miserable year or so (depending how soon you get yourself the hell out of there) of your life. Auburn University is the most socially backwards university ever created. College is where people go to express and learn new ideas from all over the country and world and take those ideas and apply them to future use as a way of growing. Auburn university has one idea and that is sameness. The Auburn motto should be it's easier to get along with people if you dumb yourself down to be as ignorant as possible like the people here. This school lacks social any type of social life. Not just night life and parties but in general. In the areas such as the concourse or student center students only interact with other students who basically look like clones of themselves, and this carries on for years and years. These people eventually marry and make more clones of themselves who go to Auburn and continue the Tradition. The "Auburn Family" should be called the Auburn race. Auburn University is the second coming of the Third Reich. Auburn Students probably have no clue what the Third Reich is. People at this school are so antisocial that I went and entire semester in a small English class of about 20 students without seeing any students interact by choice. The only students who did interact were two girls in the same sorority, who looked almost identical to each other though they swear they weren't related. Auburn University is the social scum of the Earth which is reasonable because it is located in the most ignorant part of a very intelligent country. Word of advice to anyone located in an educated progressive part of the country (D.C., Austin, Washington, Oregon, most places in California) avoid the deep south at all cost. And if you see a sign directing you towards Auburn University turnaround and drive as far away as possible. Parents do not allow your kids to apply or come to this school unless you want them to become drones or victims of post-traumatic stress.

Blake

Auburn has a community feeling to it. I feel like I can go anywhere and see a friend. I would change constraction on campus.

Meredith

Auburn is the right size. It's not too big or too small. Our recent controversy is juicy campus. I will always remember joining Pi Beta Phi.

Mackenzie

The best thing is football and how close are school really is.

Emily

auburn is clean and pretty and a really safe place to be in school. The size is just right and I spend all my time at the nursing building. Auburn is definitely a college campus and there is defintely a lot of school pride

Tiffany

Auburn is a traditional Southern school. Football season is one of the biggest highlights at school, as well as Greek life. Football season is by far my favorite; every Auburn alumni is there with their RV's and children and friends. Auburn becomes one big family in the stadium. The tradition is by far one of my other favorite things, we always have a story about a certain building or animal.

Allison

The best thing about Auburn is how pretty the campus is and Auburn's spirit.

Melissa

Auburn, Al. I never thought I would live in something so small or so far away from big city life. I love it. The town is the school, the school is the town. It is very much the stereotypical southern college town. The best thing about Auburn is that it is like family here. The one thing I would change would be to fix the growing size of the college with the not so much growing size of the town. The town does its best to accomodate the number of students coming here, but I think it needs to improve. People say Auburn is great, they generally are excited when I tell them unless they cheer for a bitter rival. The number of students is growing every year but I still think that it is just perfect. The expierences here are one in a million. You can't have the same football school anywhere else, as well as the southern hospitality. The one expierence I will never forget... Football seasons as a student. There is nothing greater than watching that eagle fly over the stadium and then defeating someone in the SEC. Its the greatest feeling in the whole world.

Anne

The size of Auburn is just right. There are a large number of students but it still has a close knit feeling. There is definitely a lot of school pride at Auburn which is nice because it shows that everyone has pride for the university.

Suzanne

I love being an Auburn student. I like the town and the campus. Living in a small town can be hard, but in Auburn there is always something to do. I like the people here. I feel like we are all very close and alot alike. I spend the majority of my time on campus in Lowder. Its in a very conveient location for me and it is avery nice building.

claire

I think that Auburn is the perfect big school with a small town feel. Whenever you ask anyone about Auburn they always say that everyone is so nice and that you feel like you are at home. I think this is so true. Especially since it is a big school comparitively speaking to some others. With around 24,000 undergrads it is surprising how many people know each other. I love that about this school.

Abbey

I love Auburn's campus. It is the perfect size school and it is gorgeous. When I tell people I go to Auburn they are usually impressed and then they ask where in Georgia it is... The biggest recent controversy on campus would definitely be the Lauren Burk shooting that happend before spring break. There is TONS of school pride here and I love all the crazy traditions we have.

Kayla

One experience I will always remember at Auburn is tailgating with friends and family. I love Auburn football and all the traditions that come with it. The football games and tailgating truly bring people together and at the same time let them show their Auburn spirit. I know I'm going to miss all the home games next year, because I'm graduating. However, I do plan on coming down for a few games next season.

Paige

I feel that Auburn is perfect for me in size, I don't really know what I would change about this school, I have visited a lot and this is my favorite campus by far. When people hear I go to Auburn it is as if they are impressed. I feel that I spend most of my time on campus in my dorm room. I feel that Auburn's administraion is very personnable and trys to be close to their students. The last controversy on campus was the unfortunate death of Lauren Burke. I feel that Auburn has an immense amount of school pride and I love it! I don't find anything too unusual about Auburn, I will remember the time I have spent with my friends. I don't really hear a lot of complaints except the usual about class being hard!

Suzanne

I love auburn and i think the best thing is the campus. I love the nature of it all and i wish that the buildings were alittle closer together but i love all the trees and grass. There is a ton of school pride, everyone on campus loves auburn and shows it. I love my sorority and that helps me so much when i think about switching schools. My sorority has made me love auburn even more!

Aubrey

I love going to Auburn. When I tell people I go here, they think it sounds like a lot of fun and we have a lot of spirit. If I could change one thing, I would want it to be easier to develope a closer relationship with my teachers. I spend most of my time in the library when studying, and at fraternity houses when going out. The biggest recent controversy was probably after the death of Lauren Burk, when the baptist church was going to protest her funeral. I will always remember going to the Auburn Alabama game!

Torry

I love the Auburn atmosphere and I am proud to tell people I go to Auburn. I feel our school is jsut the right size, the town is the perfect college town. I feel safe on campus.

Kelly

auburn is a beautiful school with a classic campus.

Rhianna

The best thing about Auburn is the beautiful campus and all of the nice people. I wouldn't change anything! It' is just right in size. It's definitely a college town because that's about all there is around here. Auburn's administration is very nice and helpful. The biggest recent controversy on campus was when Lauren Burke got killed. Almost every person here takes great pride in saying they are an Auburn fan! The one experience I'll always remember is the football games!

Lindsay

I believe that the best thing about Auburn is that anyone can call it home. It is a beautiful campus in a small town. No there aren't 30 bars but that just means you are more likely to run into people you know. The sense of pride and school spirit this place has makes me realize what a great decision I made in choosing Auburn for my college experience. I am so proud to say I am an Auburn fan because we are known for our class no matter how good or bad our team is. I feel like the Auburn community is truely a family including students, faculty, and citizens of the town. The biggest controversy would probably be the murder on campus. It is a very unfortunate circumstance but I do not believe it reflects Auburn University, I feel like it reflects fallen human nature and the bad in the world. Our community came together and showed our respect for Lauren. The experience I will always remember is my first Auburn football game in the student section. I have never felt part of such a big family in my life. Everyone comes together on those Saturdays to cheer on our team and it is one of the best experiences!

Sarah

definitely a collage town. the people and the atmosphere of Auburn has a southern charm about it. There is a huge amount of school pride, which is evident during football season. I think the size of the school is perfect. It doesn't feel too big because you see people you know everywhere you go but if you want a change in scenery you can find that too.

Caroline

small town big school pretty campus

Carly

The best thing about Auburn is the community surrounding the campus. I have never been to a campus where I have felt more welcome and honestly that is what convinced me to come to auburn in the first place. Auburn is the perfect size to me, there campus is so close together that it is easy to walk from class to class. Depending on who I tell, most people are delighted to know that I go to auburn... unless they go to Alabama or Florida, but those are their personal reasons. Auburns administration does a very good job keeping the campus going and keeping students updated on recent events. One experience I'll always remember is the 2007 auburn/ florida game when wes byrum kicked the field goal to win the game for the second year in a row.

Katie

I think Auburn is the perfect shool for anyone. I love it because it is definately a college town, and

Katie

The best thing about Auburn is how much everyone loves the school and has so much school pride at the football games and else where. I love how the campus is set up and how everything on campus is close enough to walk to.

Anne

I spend most of my days in Haley Center, its not bad, just wish Haley had more computer labs, I usually have to wait a long time now. Its a good sized school, lots of people but still a small town feeling. Administration isn't very involved. Everything is overall pretty nice.

Blake

Big school but with a small-school feel. College town. pride. community.

Katie

Auburn is a beautiful southern campus with a lot of school pride. There is nothing better than football saturdays in the stadium. I love the size of the school and it is definitely a college town. most people give a good reaction when i tell them i go to auburn, unless of course they are alabama fans. i think overall its easy to balance school life and social life and most people are good and keeping their priorities straight. this is only my sophomore year but so far i like the administration. your never going to love every teacher you have, but so far I have only had one or two i could not stand. the advising could use some work though.

Kara

I love the people here, everyone is so nice! I would not change anything!! It's perfect! Depending on where they are from...north--where is that?, tuscaloosa--ew gross...uga, uf, fsu type places- oh my gosh i love it there, i spend time in my dorm, library, fraternity house or athletic complex, recent controversy--Lauren Burk and the safety issues here, tons of school pride

Katie

I think its a really good sized school and I love how easy it is to get around because everything is so close together. I think just about everyone that has come to visit has had an amazing time here.

Andy

the best thing about auburn are the people.. very laid back and down to earth (i transferred from an extremely snobby small private college, so its great here to me) the number of students seems too large, but it feels so small.. i swear it feels like only a few thousand go here.. biggest recent controversy was the murder of lauren burk and how our administration reacted/didnt react... lots of school pride.. most frequent student complaints are that there are not enough bars

Melanie

Auburn's traditions and the close-knit community make it unusual to any other school; couldnt imagine myself anywhere else!

Riley

Auburn is absolutely amazing. For the most part everyone is really nice.

Sarah

I absolutely love Auburn! It really has been the best decision i have made for myself coming here. Everyone including teachers and students are very friendly and eager to help. Auburn feels like a college town and family.

Leslie

Auburn is an amazing school. However, when I tell someone I go to school there they laugh because they think it is a bunch of rednecks who live in trailers and who farm. To be honest, that is a horrible stereotype of Auburn. Auburn is a small southern college town where everyone knows everyone else. In the fall, students start school and the fraternities are known for the band parties on Friday nights. Saturday's start off with tailgating and then heading to the Jordan-Hare stadium where you will see the Eagle fly and here the students scream WAR EAGLE and chant Bodda Getta. In the spring, you have other events to look forward too. Sororities practice everyday for Greek Sing. Fraternities still have band parties but they are mostly themed. For example, Sig Ep has Waikiki. Also, a lot of fraternities and sororities have their big philanthropy events. Ultimately, if anyone comes to visit Auburn this is what one would see. Auburn is a small southern school with a lot of school pride! WAR EAGLE!

Amy

The size of the school is perfect. It is not too big but it is also not too small. It is big enough that there are tons of new people to meet but it is small enough that you see your friends out everywhere. It is a small college town which is fun since I am from the suburbs of a big city.

kathryn

its getting too big....every one always things auburn is in gerogia, i love being in a college town but it gets boring sometimes

Ashley

I love Auburn, everything about it is PERFECT. They pick really bad math teachers sometimes... Lauren Burk was the biggest controversy, soon will be Juicy Campus...

Emily

Auburn has agriculture and many exciting programs to be in! you have to go to camp war eagle before you go its super fun!
