The worst thing about my school is that they preach tolerance and acceptance of every one, but the minute I tell someone my beliefs -such as religious, political, or academic beliefs- I am instantly counted as a bad guy. Good Job, Augsburg.
For me there is not much that i do not like. Probably the most frustrating thing is that here we are on terms and every other school is on semesters so our breaks are always different so its hard for me to hang out with my friends that go to other colleges. If I have to say what is the worst thing about Augsburg it would be the cost of tuition and on campus housing. It definitely costs a bit much to live on campus at the Augsburg College. I
The availability of loans and financial aid is limited, The availability of work study is scarce also.
Not as many events for students to attend. There are some events that happen in the freshman dorms but not as many as other schools have. It would be easier for new/transffering students to meet others if they had little events that occured.
In augsburg college i dont consider anything that is bad. They help us with everything when it comes to problems with housing, finacial aid, etc. When having problems and they dont know what to do they direct us with someone else.
The worse thing about my school is probably how politically unstable it is. My school is 98{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} liberal, and the other 2{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} are unspoken for. We try to form a conservative group, but only one or two show up. From words, the others are in hiding due to the many liberal professors and students at the school. They outnumbered conservatives 30/1.
Augsburg College is a small school in the middle of a large city that works hard to reach out and connect to the community surrounding the school. Yet, Augsburg does not always pay attention to connecting the school community, along with the Minneapolis community. Students relationship to the school, peers, and professors are sometimes forgotten since the school is often so focused on connecting everyone to Minneapolis. Although it is important to connect to the community it also important to bring the school community together and then branch out into the city.

It is very expensive! One has to pay for everything at this school. It is a little outrageous. Tuition, on-campus living, the food service, school books, everything is so costly at Augsburg.
crime because of the bad neighborhoods around campus
I think Augsburg is a good school, however, being located in Minneapolis, it tends to attract students that live in the suburbs and surrounding areas and therefore "diversity" means African American. I was a transfer student into Augsburg and didn't realize that this would be a problem, but I found it made social interactions on the weekends hard, as many students would go home . Augsburg has a good wrestling program, so it feels like there are a lot of jocks on campus. There really aren't a lot of politically or academically active students.
The administration that handles my financial aid checks never has things organized. They revieve my checks from the state months in advance and either lose or misplace them regularly so that i have to fight with them to reverse late charges that never should have happened.
