It is the first college I have attended and while it lacks a certain centralized feeling, its facilities are great to learn at and the professors are generally helpful and pleasant. I've never felt like a priority to my academic advisors, though. More could be done to help bring students together and make them feel more welcomed.

This is my third semester at Austin Community College. They have numerous campuses throughout the Austin area. I have attended four of the campuses. Everyone is extremely helpful and nice. They offer tutors for every subject, free of charge. Some of the campuses are even open on the weekends. I plan to get all of my core classes done at ACC before I try to transfer. The class size is perfect and the teachers really seem to care about their students!

Students should always be able to be at ease when they are at school, there should also be unlimited amount of resources to aide students in their future endeavors. That is exactly what is offered at Austin Community College. The experience is phenomenal. Personally I wish that ACC was a four year college. The Dean himself is involved with his students, and that speaks volumes for that school.

I think ACC is a place where great things can happen if the student puts forth the effort. They try their best to encourage use of their facilities and always try to be involved. The teachers are very knowledgable and don't shy from spreading their knowledge forward.

I have been to three different colleges including ACC and while the other two i was at major universities, nothing felt right like ACC does. From being able to communicate with your professors when ever, to the wide range of resources avaliable, you are never short of what you need to succeed.

ACC allows for all kinds of education, from a typical four-college lifestyle to a single college class for the summer, and even some classes from home if a classroom isn't the style for everyone. Austin Community College gives the full access to a college education, without having to sign away 4 years at a time, just from semester to semester.

Austin Community College is an excellent place to study and transfer to a 4 year University. The professors there are good, and help you to succeed. Moreover, there are tutors in the Learning Lab that will assist you in getting good grades in class.

I enrolled in Austin Community College during my senior year of high school for dual credit while I was home schooled, and have continued to work on my basics at Austin Community College. I have mainly attended the Round Rock campus. The campus is a great area for studying! There is an outside area with shade that is perfect for studying! There will usually be a computer lab open, and the library and learning lab are also quiet and spacious. The learning lab has been extremely useful for me, especially in my math classes! I can find a math tutor to help me for free, and English professors also will read and edit my essays! While the student's aren't amazing, my professors generally are! I decided to major in Philosophy after taking a class from Sandy Claubaugh, who has opened my heart to the study of reasoning! Austin Community College will always have a special place in my heart, for the way that they taught me to love learning!

What is your overall opinion of this school?

It is a good, normal school as far as academics go. There are good professors, there are not-so-good ones (I got lucky this semester, but several of my friends complain about theirs, and I did have to drop one class because of a meh instructor), just like at any public high school. For the most part people seem to know what they're talking about; however, I find there is not a whole lot of community here, which is a bit ironic seeing as how it's called a Community College. Overall, it's a good school for getting your core credits, but I really can't wait to transfer to a university and have the real "college experience".
