Babson College Top Questions

What kind of person should not attend this school?

Babson is not for students looking to breeze through college. Grades are earned, not given, so a high GPA from Babson carries significant weight to employers in the know. Students will interact with a undergraduate population that is around 25{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} international and so opinions, views and expectations will be challenged from day one. The school itself is quite small - around 2,000 undergraduates - and lacks the vibrant social scene some look for in college. To some studnets from larger cities and high schools, the enviroment can seem too small.

If you are the least bit lazy, then Babson is not for you. The workload is huge, but so are the rewards. of knowledge that Babson has to offer. Another must have characteristic is time management. Once classes are done... its meetings until 12am almost every night with all the group projects you get. Everyone has a blackberry just to keep up with emails and their schedule. If you dont have one, you are at a severe disagvantage.

At Babson, work will be prioritized over social life. Specifically, you *will* be studying entrepreneurship; if this is not a discipline that interests you, then you should probably look elsewhere. Between Freshman and Junior year, about 30{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} of my friends dropped out of the school upon realizing that entrepreneurship was not what they wanted to do with their lives.
