I love this school! It is 100{6f65e1278338a62264eed73e2adc5af8e2841420db12ceb4f80b8db22f3260ec} online, so some of my ratings do not pertain to my school. There is not a campus we attend, so I have never personally met my instructors or fellow students, but they are always available. My instructors give their personal phone numbers out and will take your call until midnight (most times).

  2. What is the stereotype of students at your school? Is this stereotype accurate?

It is a common stereotype that online schools do not provide the same level of education and that students that attend are not as devoted to their studies. I do not believe this is accurate. As the President of the Honor Society for our campus, I have had the pleasure of being introduced to many other students in my own college and other more prestigious schools, including Harvard students. It is my opinion that our students are as intellectual and driven as any other students that I have met. Our students are often non-traditional in that they have children, are adult, and many have full-time careers as well. These external factors often drive the students at Baker College Online to succeed.

  3. What is your overall opinion of this school?

I love my school. I think that online schooling is the best thing that could have ever happened for me. I am able to have my interest peaked from day one to the end of the six week course. I have found that online classes just work for me, and I'm learning in a new way that I never though possible. And it is actually sticking with me! I think that people need to realize that online school is not for everyone, and even then every online school is not for everyone. You need to find a school that meets your personal needs, just like you do if you go to an actual campus school. But, when you find the right fit, the combination is magical!

  5. What are the academics like at your school?

Academics is very competitive at my school. Since you go to an online school, academics is the one thing that we all have in common. Class participation is very common, and even in some schools required on a daily basis. I think that Baker Online works with its professors to make sure that everyone has a tailored experience when taking a class. While my professor may not know what I look like, they do know my name and they do pay attention to what I have to say. Also, Baker Online gears its students towards getting a career after graduation. They make sure that you have the tools needed to succeed after their courses. All in all, Baker Online is a very well rounded school, and I couldn't be prouder of the school that I am attending.

It's very exciting and keeps you on your toes, but if you prefer the longer semesters with the information spread out across a few more weeks, this is not the school for you.
