I transferred to Baker the fall of 2017 and I have never been happier. It was difficult for adjustments to a slightly bigger and more difficult school than my community college, but the professors were always there to help me. The students are welcoming and super kind even if they do not know you. All the sports teams stick together and attend as many matches as possible. Even study groups are popular with a variety of people.

I really like going to Baker. The class sizes are nice and small and the teachers are always available to help. I also like Baldwin City, there are places to eat and some really good places to shop, and it's not a huge bustling place, but it is near Lawrence if you need something that's not in Baldwin.

Baker is perfect for someone looking for a small, close-knit school with lots of opportunities. Despite its size, Baker has connections with many businesses and companies in the Kansas City area and makes those available to students. Professors are very approachable and know you by name. Baker has become my home.

If I had to describe Baker University in one would it would be family. The people I have met over the years at this university have truly become family to me. It's a special place to be. Baker is a small university so it allows professors, students, and faculty to all interact with one another on a daily basis. I have gotten to know everyone in my field of study well as well as others on campus. I can be involved in anything and everything on campus. There is no limit to what Baker University offers its students. I hope one day my children can experience everything Baker has given me in their own unique way.

Overall I think Baker is a great place to be. While it is small it gives options to everyone. Also, while Baker is a Methodist institution it is incredibly open and pretty liberal. I would say more so than other large campuses like KU. Student life is almost always available, professors end up becoming pretty close friends, and you can usually find someone to hang out with.

My overall opinion about this campus is that I love the fact that everyone here cares and is super friendly. That matters because you want to be able to be in a good work environment where you feel safe and you feel that you'll be able to learn something in class and throughout the school year. The other good thing about this school is that the campus isn't too big where you'll get lost and be late for classes. All the professors here care about you and want to be able to help you succeed and prepare yourself for the future. As well as everyone has a reason to be here, most of our student population are student athletes and I think that is what makes it unique because everyone has a purpose for being there. The more active you are on campus, the more you'll be able to meet lots of new friends and be able to have more of a fun time with those who you are more comfortable around with, that's why it's always good to get our of your comfort zone and experience new things once in a while.

Baker University is a hidden gem. The class sizes are small so you feel close to your classmates and professors. It becomes a big family when you attend Baker. You really feel the one-on-one education and professors help you outside the classroom.

I've attended Baker University for 1 semester. It is very small. If you're coming to get a good liberal arts education go for it, but if you're from somewhere other than the midwest which is more lively you might get bored in Baldwin City Kansas. But all in all I am proud to be a Wildcat!

The first advice that I would give myself if I knew what I know now is that there is a lot of reading in all your classees and you are going to be reading constantly about boring things that is going to make you want to sleep. I would also tell myself that living with a roommate is one of that hardest things that you would ever do because you like things done a certain way and I should loosen up a little and not trying to make everyone do it your way. Also that you will not be alone for very long, it might seem that no one wants to be your friend and no one is around to make you happy and your are going to have a bunch of lonely nights but that there is always your friends to be with and that you will not be alone for every long.
The most unique thing about my school is that it is the oldest school in Kansas. It is very interesting that Baker is such a small but old school with a lot of history and it is very unique.
The worst thing about my school is that everyone seems to know about your life. The reason why I think that this is the worst thing about my college because rumors get around the university about you quickly. Also if you tell people about personal things, it still might go around campus because we are such a small community and everyone knows you, everyone wants to know about you and what is going on in your life.
Baker University is a close community where everyone is treated like family.

I did not know I would make so many positive changes after my senior year of high school. If I could go back in time to my last year of high school, I would advise myself to step out of my comfort zone. As a proud member of Alpha Chi Omega, I am taught the importance of stepping out of my comfort zone. By trying new things that we do not have control over, we better ourselves while making memories that last a lifetime. I did not make the most of my high school years because I only did what I was comfortable with, and never pushed myself to become more. Looking back, I wish I would have known how fun expanding my limits could be. By pushing myself to go to social events my freshman year of college, I know have friends that will last a lifetime. By venturing out of my comfort zone and running for a position in the house, I now hold a non-executive position and am building up my leadership experience for my future career. If only I would have done the same in high school.
Everyone here at Baker University is treated like family. We all know and support one another through the good and bad.
