Bakersfield College Top Questions

What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

Molly

The most frustrating thing about my school is the counseling department. For most of the students who end up going to community college, the goal is to transfer to a 4-year institution, which can be excessively difficult if they aren't properly guided to take the required class load. I have been witness to multiple failures of the couseling department due to the fact that they give misinformation about requirements and transfer classes. I have chosen to guide myself through the catalog, rather than rely on faulty information, but students should have the ability to seek knowledgeable college counseling.

The most frustrating thing about my school is the counseling department. I have personally learned that 3 counselors can tell you three different things... almost missing out on graduation.

Alma

The most frustrating thing about Bakersfield College are those students who are not engaged in the class and disrupt the professor while students like me, for example, are trying our best to succeed in the course.

The location of my classes. Most of the time, I have to wake up atleast an hour and half early to walk to classes and most importantly, to be on time. I live on campus and most of the buildings are far away from dorms buildings. Most importantly, I am very very frustrated for not getting enough grants/scholarship/financial aid money at FLORIDA ATLANTIC UNIVERSITY. I am a out of state resident, and it is very hard to keep saving money for college. the tuition is increasing heavily for out of state resident student.

Waleed

Too many tests to study for at the same time.

Maria
