I love this college. I'm so glad that I chose to attend here rather than anywhere else! The staff is wonderful. Our professors are always available to talk and tutor. We have excellent resources and facilities for our students to use. We are a private institution, however, the tuition is reasonable. No one has to pay out of state tuition no matter where you are from. Most importantly, God is in that place.
When I encounter other students who has survived the rigorous process of a Baptist College education, excellence is the word that comes to mind. PARENTS SHOULD TAKE THEIR CHILDREN TO AS MANY COLLEGE FAIRS AS THEY CAN. SEEING VARIOUS COLLEGE CAMPUSES AND THE STUDENTS THAT ATTEND CAN MAKE A HARD DECISION EASIER. DETERMINING YOUR CAREER GOALS IS FUNDAMENTAL IN FINDING THE RIGHT COLLEGE. FIND A COLLEGE THAT FOCUSES ON WAYS TO MAKE LEARNING BENEFICIAL TO ITS STUDENTS. SMALLER COLLEGES ARE OFTEN BETTER WAYS TO LEARN. YOU GET MORE FEEDBACK AND ARE OFFERED MORE OPPORTUNITIES FOR SUCCESS. IN ORDER TO MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR COLLEGE EXPERIENCE YOU SHOULD COMPLETE YOUR SCHOOLWORK AND ALSO SET TIME ASIDE TO PLAY. SOCIAL CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS ARE A GREAT WAY TO MAKE NEW LIFELONG FRIENDS. HOWEVER PARTYING SHOULD NOT INCLUDE UNDER-AGE DRINKING OR DRUGS. THE COLLEGE I ATTEND HAS A ZERO-TOLERANCE POLICY FOR DRINKING OR DRUGS. YOU CAN HAVE FUN BUT YOU SHOULD NOT TAKE IT TO THE LEVEL WHERE IT INTERFERES WITH YOUR ACADEMICS.
Most of them are very hard-working and determined.
Christian, friendly atmosphere
You go to school year-round--Fall, Spring, and Summer. And of course, financial aid/scholarships don't exist in the summer, so you have to figure out a way to pay for the summer term yourself. If you are required to go in the summer, like you are at Baptist, then they should help you out in some way. Baptist College is way too expensive. Once you start your clinical classes, they aren't enough to be full time so you must take/pay for extra classes that you don't even need.
The best school in our area for nursing degrees.
Baptist is unique because it gives youth that have graduated high school the opportunity to begin start a nursing proram without have to apply to the program after being accepted ot the college. Baptist also give those who are working the opportunity to go the school part -time during nights and weekends to reach their career goals.
I tell them that the teachers there are very helpful. I have at least three numbers for each of my teachers and they are willing to do what ever they have to to help the students succeed.
I wish that I would have known the courses that was need for my pre-requisites so that I could have taken them before coming here.
The most frustrating situation for me is the fact that we, as students, have so much to cover in such a little time. We already have several responsibilities and roles to perform outside of school and school adds to the pressure already on us. Little sleep, imbalanced eating habits, and so forth make it hard to continue to move forward.
