Barry is a party school, and priorities events over academics. The dorms are loud and full of parties, it is hard to study. The meal plan is extremely overpriced and the food is not great. The classroom sizes are good, at max there is 30 students per class. Miami is a nice area and has a lot of places to see, but Barry needs to update a lot of things or lower the tuition.

Loyda - 08/12/2020

Barry University is an excellent school, the staff are very nice and always available for anything you may need. I feel very safe around the campus. J had a lot of help my first semester and they were always in contact with me. My experience as a freshman is wonderful.

Kimani

The teachers are nice, there's a nice community of students, but a lesser school can provide that same essentials. It's a good school but you have to watch out for the costs. Please realize that it is 14,000 per semester; if you're not getting a full ride or can afford paying 28,000 a year, don't go.

Barry University is one of the best universities in the state of Florida. One of the major benefits is that the school is well accredited. The classes at Barry University are small (about 30 students max per class). The benefit of having small classes is the one on one assistance from the professors which allows you to learn and understand the material even more. There are not much parties that happen on Barry Campus. However, there are a lot of Barry Pride events such as basketball games, comedy shows, movie nights etc. The one thing I would change about Barry are some of the staff members. 18. Why did you decide to go to this school?

Initially, what attracted me to this school was the big scholarship that they offered me. At first, it might seem a bit superficial - considering a university for a scholarship, I mean. But it was quite a scholarship I was offered, and, being from a very low-income neighborhood, I set about to finding out more about Barry. After a couple of visits and talks with professors, I came to the conclusion that this school was the school for me: I saw the caliber of the professors that came my way. One of my literature professors has five degrees; another professor, one of economics, holds more than ten titles - you bet they they can teach, too! The school may not look so pretty on the outside, but inside the walls and classrooms of Barry lies the university tradition of excellent scholarship to students.
