I wish I would have known how much fun I was going to have. All parents and teachers from high school talk about is how hard you have to work in college. About how much homework there will be. About studying twice as much. They never mention the awesome memories and amazing friends that you will make. In the end, of course, you will be doing all the things mentioned above, but it is definitely worth it when the work and studying comes along with fun times and exciting events.

Make the grades freshman year! Those are the easiest classes you will ever have!

If my educational experience had not have been as fulfilling as it was, I might have wished that I had known about how high tuition was and that it would increase during my time attending Baylor. BUT Baylor well prepared me for entrance into dental school, which I am attending now, so it is a trade-off of sorts. I had an expensive education, but in that I received the qualifications to have the chance to become a doctor and pay back those loans pretty easily.

Jennifer

I wish I would have known how to study the right and most effective way. In high school, I just studied before the class, during lunch, or before school. With a great short term memory, I could spit out the simplistic concept of whateverI was learning. In college, the details are so great, that I become anxious and forget what I have learned. The art of studying for biology exams and other challenging classes would have made the world of difference to me and my my GPA.

Honestly nothing, I feel like my high school did a very good job preparing me for college, and Baylor presented itself very accurately so I knew what I was in for.

Anna

I wish I would have known how much emphasis is placed on the social scene. I also wish I would have had a better idea of the socio-economic status of the university before I enrolled. People are very social and want to get to know you, but there are underlying tones of a class system.

While I am satisfied with my study abroad experience through Baylor, I am having to go through quite a bit to settle things for this up coming school year back on campus. And while changing your major on paper is easy enough, trying to make all of your course credits count for your new degree is kind of hard.

Mark

Baylor is exactly how it sells itself, and more. The students aren't putting on a show for the campus previews, that's how they really are: open, friendly, and willing to explain why they love Baylor.

Braden

Looking back on this past year, I have no regrets. There is nothing I would have changed. It might have been helpful to not take a semester of Elementary Greek without first learning Latin, but now I know what the hardest class I will take at Baylor is, and the experience taught me how to schedule more appropriate courses. It might have also been nice to know that spending the extra money on the 16/week meal plan as opposed to the 11/week was unnecessary, but everything I experienced, good and bad, matured me into a wiser man.

Christine

That having ideas different to the typical Baptist student would have to be thoroughly thought through should they come off as offensive, ignorant, radical, or simply unwanted.
