What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year at Belhaven University?

I wish I would have known that this Christian university has fallen subject to the sinfulness of this world when viewed from the aspect of scholarship awards for football players. I have talked with many football players in my classes, whose academic performance is below mine, but they are receiving nearly double in scholarship awards compared me, just to run a ball up and down a field.

I wish I had known better study techniques. I never had to study much before I got into my major and learning to study is actually more difficult to learn to study than to study.

There isnt any thing I didnt know about this school before i enrolled here. My mother got both her degrees from belhaven so I have been on campus since i was in high school.

I wish I had known about the policy of counseling. Certain staff members are hardcore about the mental, emotional, and spiritual welfare of the student body, sometimes too much. Extremes are at both ends, and the staff goes to both ends.
