The fraternities on campus, and some intramural sports.
Intramurals are fun. The school has a convocation program so you are encouraged to see most campus speakers in order to get credit that you'll need to graduate. There is plenty of time for a social life as many majors don't require too much work unless the major is in a science. You can easily becoe close with the others in your dorm.
There are a lot of campus wide events put on by different organizations. Definitely a strong sense of community on campus. There is never a lack of something to do!
Social life here is great. If you are a people person, you will find things to do and people to hang out with.
Greek Life = Amazing! ok, I'm a little partial, but seriously :) That's by far not the only thing that you can get involved in at Belmont, we are actually only 10% greek. Because of that number Greek life doesn't overtake our social activities as it does in other schools, but it's wonderful if you're at all interested :) We have everything, over 85 clubs and organizations for students with everything possible. If you want to do it, you can. That's the absolute best way to get plugged in on campus and whatever you do your freshman year, join a club. You certainly won't regret it :)
There are tons of organizations here on campus and there's always a fair at the beginning of the school year with tables set up so that students can see which organizations they might be interested in. There are greek organizations, honor societies, and interest groups. The groups I'm personally involved in deal with political and social issues, which is what I'm most passionate about. Student groups are a great way to meet people, but most things at Belmont are. Classes, mixers, orientation, even just living in your dorm are all ways that students are able to meet new people and form new friendships. Every year we have fun events, such as dances or Fall Follies, a variety show that pokes fun at all of us here in the Belmont bubble.
