What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

you should visit the college you plan to attend. once you narrow it down, visit the college again, your visits should be one on the weekend and one during the week so that you can attend classes. do not let the school influence you because you know someone who goes there but because you feel comfrontable. parents should be willing to listen to their student and students to their parents and come to an agreement. do not make your child go to a school because then they might not do well just because they do not want to attend there. this is a time where children grow into young adults and their opinions should matter because that is where they have to attend in the end not the parents.

I can into this school without an exact degree in mind for graduation. After spending two years here I thought I knew what i wanted to do and it was in the Psychology field. The school i attend was very good at allowing students to come in with an undecided major and to be able to browse through and figure out what it is they want to do with the rest of their lives. After you figure out what you want to do its just a matter of living up to the expectations that come with that major. To make the most out of your college experience you need to just be yourself. No matter what college or university you choose there will be different groups of people, you just need to find your niche. Be outgoing and participate in an activity if invited. Be open to new experiences and if they turn out to be bad your moral compass will lead you back.

Did you like highschool or no? If you did, seek a smaller college, preferably one that is clsoer to home. If you didn't try a larger university.

It's very important that you make sure that you really like your school. When I was applying to schools, my first choice was Bradley University. It was also my parents' first choice for me. I think that the only reason I chose it was because my parents wanted me to go there. Once I visited Benedictine, I fell in love with the campus. I am really happy with my choice.
