I absolutely love it! With 27,000 acres to roam and explore there is never a shortage of outdoor adventure to be had. Classes are small which makes it an enjoyable learning experience and also helps in getting to know your classmates. I was recruited to play golf for Berry but I know that I would be happy here even if I were not playing. Berry is a very close knit community that focuses on the success of each student and makes everyone feel welcome. I am so blessed that I was chosen to attend such an amazing school and am thankful that my college experience will be one I will treasure always.

It is a wonderful place. It has been a second home from me from the moment I attended orientation. I have grown so much in my time here. With all of my experiences thus far, whether good or bad, I can say that I don't regret a single thing. There are some things I could complain about, but most of it is really just part of being an adult and are just my personal qualms about things.

Berry College is an incredibly campus in every aspect. The most notable thing about Berry is the size of the campus, which is around 27,000 acres. This leads into the student body being extremely active in sports and other events across campus. Often you will see students playing soccer, basketball, volleyball, and especially frisbee across campus. Aside from recreational activities we have an excellent staff at Berry. The professors are always available to help students in and outside of the classroom. They have available times to discuss anything during their office hours, and then a majority of the professors will make time to meet outside of their office hours if need be. Helping the students are there number one goal. Berry is also home to an extensive student work program, which allows students to be paid doing a variety of work from working on the grounds crew doing landscaping, to working side by side to with a professor to gain research or teaching experience. Berry College offers a wide array of educational opportunities in the classroom and outside of the classroom. The school adheres to its motto "Head, Heart, and Hands" , which means we use our heads to learn in the classroom, our heart to work with one another, and use our hands to help the college. I would recommend Berry to anyone aspiring to get a well rounded education from an incredible faculty.

As a freshman, I've had the opportunity to explore so much of Berry's life already. Berry was recently the 1st ranked college in BuzzFeed's 25 of the most beautiful colleges in the world. Berry is so Beautiful and anyone who visits there is just enchanted. From the castles of the Ford Complex, to the high tech gear of the Cage Center, Berry is like no other college. It's the world's Largest Campus, but don't let that fool you, Berry is a top rate small feel college. Gen Ed classes are maxed out at 30, and every professor knows you by name.

Berry College FAQS

  1. What is the Acceptance Rate at Berry College?

The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Berry College is 62%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

If I could talk to myself as a high school senior, I would advise myself to remember that I am going to college for me, not for the school and to keep everything in perspective. As an incoming freshman I came into Berry College excited, and when I was given a schedule, I was so happy to get it I didn't revise anything about the schedule. I didn't ask for help because I didn't want to give the administration any trouble. This was a mistake because I had a class at 8 AM, four days of the week, and because I was only taking 13 credit hours. These factors were detrimental because I'm not a morning person, so the early class was my lowest grade and it negatively and heavily impacted my GPA. Also, if I had taken more classes, I would have had a higher grade to help even out that poor grade's impact. If I were to have kept everything in perspective and known that the administration is there to help me with any issues, I would have never gone without reffering to someone about refining my schedule.

Residence life. They tend to underestimate the amoung of students who require on-campus housing. Personally I have never faced these problems since I live off campus, but many students don't have that option and are repeadly left without rooms during selection for the upcoming semester. The problems are always resolved, but to students who are affected complain.

Aside from the fact that it has the world's largest contiguous campus, I fell in love with Berry because of the warm, home-like environment it provides its students. Coupled with its top-of-the-line academics, Berry has mastered the art of pleasing indecisive young adults and molding them into productive adults.

When mentioning Berry College to most people, they often respond by commenting on the beauty of the campus. While the campus is most certainly breathtaking, the fact that the college is so small helps builds a strong camaraderie among the peers who attend Berry. There is no Greek Life, but each person essentially 'belongs' to the dorms in which they reside and become very close with their roommates and hallmates. Being an only child, college living has helped me feel as though I now have hundreds of brothers and we all live under the same roof.
