Blinn College Top Questions

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

Miriam

Parking, any thing related to that subject! I absolutely do not understand why one has to pay for a parking permit if they already pay for tuition, PLUS a parking space is hard to find anyways!

Amy

The lack of parking spaces as well as the cafeteria food.

The worst thing about my school is it was not my first choice on where I wanted to attend. Although I wish I were in my top choice, being at a 2-year community college has been great for me. While I figured I had to attend a 4-year university right out of high school looking back now this was a better rout. The transition from high school to community college was smoother than anything I could have imagined. I have learned studying habits that will carry on to the next step in my educational career.

There is no worst thing about my school. It's a great campus and there are alot of organizations for students to get involved in. It is also very good with making sure that it's students are sucessful and are prepared for their various majors and careers.

The worst thing about Blinn is that, at the Bryan Campus where I attend, there is no on-campus housing. I live in College Station and drive 15 minutes to class every day, which is not good with my parent's wallet when it comes to paying for gas. I would take the bus to Blinn, but that usually takes about 45 minutes after it has stopped at all its stops. More housing available in Bryan would be more convenient.

The worst thing about my college is the parking. There are no shuttle buses available from the apartment complexes so everyone must drive if you do not live within walking distance from the school. The parking lot is very crowded and takes a long time to find a parking spot especially within the first few weeks of the semester.

The fact that each teacher is not on the same level. Like there are some teachers who teach at major universities, community colleges, and high schools. So its hard to contact them if you have a question or what standards you are being held to.
