My college welcomes people from every background, but that does not always mean its the right choice for you. If you are coming out of highschool and right off the bat you know what you want to do with your life it BCTC might not be the best choice. There are no Fraternities, or sororities, so if your goal is to be apart of the greek life this is not the place for you.
someone whose looking at school only for socializing
The school is diverse and with anything one does, you get out of it what you put in to it. Anyone can attend, it is up to the individual as to how well he/she succeeds.
Someone that isn't very self-sufficient would have a very difficult time functioning for long in this school. While I'll occasionally run across someone who is very proficient at their position and helpful, most of the people that I have encountered have been of very little help when it was required. I've had to be very proactive in the matters of securing financial aid, following up regarding unanswered phone calls and gathering the necessary information required to apply for my intended program. Simply stated, someone who lacks assertiveness or motivation would probably not do very well here.
Someone who is really looking to be challenged; someone genuinely looking for "higher education."
Sponsored Meaning Explained
EducationDynamics receives compensation for the featured schools on our websites (see “Sponsored Ad” or “Sponsored Listings” or “Sponsored Results”). So what does this mean for you? Compensation may impact where the Sponsored Schools appear on our websites, including whether they appear as a match through our education matching services tool, the order in which they appear in a listing, and/or their ranking. Our websites do not provide, nor are they intended to provide, a comprehensive list of all schools (a) in the United States (b) located in a specific geographic area or (c) that offer a particular program of study. By providing information or agreeing to be contacted by a Sponsored School, you are in no way obligated to apply to or enroll with the school. Your trust is our priority. We at EducationDynamics believe you should make decisions about your education with confidence. that’s why EducationDynamicsis also proud to offer free information on its websites, which has been used by millions of prospective students to explore their education goals and interests. close
