That we are preppy, granola-eating, linen-pants wearing, hippies.

Ian

I once saw Bowdoin described in a college review magazine as a college where every student wears L.L.Bean sweaters and collared shirts. I have also heard that all the students who are accepted to Bowdoin have really high SAT scores.

Liz

Bowdoin students are stereotyped in several ways, and interestingly enough, all of these ways are entirely seperate and unique. For example, some people may think of Bowdoin and automatically imagine crunchy, tree-hugging outdoorsmen and women taking weekly hiking trips and learning avalanche protocol between GORP breaks. Others think of Bowdoin and envision jocks in black and white polar bear uniforms and underarmor. Some think Bowdoin and think snobby boarding school kids from "Just Outside Boston (JOB)."Still others most likely envision Bowdoin students as a school with well-balanced, friendly people.

Jody

Bowdoin students are stereotyped to be rich and preppy

Kathryn

Alcoholic jocks from New England Schools. Preppy, rich girls who got in through connections.

Kyle

That most students are stuck up and/or rich.

Charlie

Everyone at Bowdoin does too many activities to count, and looks like they walked out of a j-crew cataloge. They're all the same.

Perry

I don't know of any stereotypes really. I guess all I hear is that it's a very good school and the students are all very smart and engaged.
