Homecoming. It's the opportunity to reunite with current students and alumni to celebrate and participate on the BSU pride.

My school is best known for fulfilling its core values: "Excellence, Civility, Integrity, Diversity, Accountability". As I talk to students accross disciplines they reveal their "good academic standing" and vast knowledge of their chosen field of study. Truly, this is excellence. As I talk to them, (sometimes introducing myself for the first time), they are civil regardless of differences. Even so, there's much diversity on campus: from race and religion, to ages and ideologies. These values are found throughout the faculty and student body. Finally, Bowie State holds students accountable for their work: zero tolerance for plagarism and cheating.

My school is best known for their programs and being a "Dry" campus. This meaning that it is free of Alcohol and drugs.

Bowie State University is best known for small size and it's high value placed on community. This si a small school so classes are usually small and everyone knows eachother or has seen one another.

It's teaching program. Since my school is an historic black college and university, my school has a strong specializing in teaching education. That was the core need for African-American peoples at the time. Next, my school is well known for its partnerships with NASA. Since my school is located near NASA, it receives funding and support.

Bowies State University is best known for their Business and Computer Science schools. The two departments offer incredible professors who specialize in providing first rate education to their students. This school is also very nurturing.

Bowie State University is best known for the historic education of African-American during the year of 1865. Its known to give young African-American and other ethnic race to recieve equall eduaction and to provide education for bright future in any career goal. They try to build a leadership and understanding to strive for excellence. This is what I believe Bowie State University is best known for.

Academics and how hard and eager our students are.

My school is best know for being a "Ghetto School." The majority of the students who attend here are from neighborhood cities such as D.C. and Baltimore. Many people feel that this school isnt about education, but they are. BSU works hard at helping its students to become career oriented and also to help them better themselves as indivduals as well as business men and women.

Computer science and business departments

Probably for being the first historically black college/university (aka HBCU) in Maryland, and for the school's strong school spirit. They're also probably known for being very inexpensive; this is why myself and many other students chose to attend.

Bowie State University is best known for their academics, computer, and business programs. Also, the football team is known to be really good.
