I would brag about the students school spirit during homecoming week.

I brag about Bowie State University to my friends because it has given me the educational edge and empowerment to be my best. In the midst of unemployment and few job opportunities, Bowie State increases my knowledge and future employment opportunities upon completion of my bachelor's degree. I brag about my university because I want to encourage others who desire higher education that Bowie State can offer them the edge they seek for educational empowerment.

I always brag about the education and social opportunites on campus. Also, my 3.6 gpa for my first semester..

I brag most about my professors and how much they want you to learn the subjects and do well.

I brag that we have a pretty good basketball team.

When I talk to my friends about my school I brag the most about the Social Work program that I am in. I brag about this the most because this program is an almost program for those looking to work in this field.

I don't brag about Bowie State University...ever. I only attended because they offered me a full academic scholarship and entry into the Honors Program. I'd been accepted to other schools (UMBC, Drexel, Messiah, Oglethorpe, Morgan State) but did not want to be a financial burden on my parents. I chose Bowie State however, I cannot honestly advise anyone to attend that institution. There are some brilliant, driven students that excel in their fields at Bowie State and even fewer faculty that nurture and support these students. My experience at Bowie State was definitely more bitter than sweet.

I dont brag

I speak on my experiences at Bowie State University the most when I speak to my friends. I talk about the clubs/organizations that I am a member of and the people that I have gotten a chance to meet because Bowie State gave me the opportunity to meet them.

I tell my friends that Bowie State University is very affordable for almost anyone.

The school should not even have accredidation because it is worthless. I do not know how it has been open this long and I am embarresed to tell people that I go there. I sometimes lie about where I go to school because I really don't want people to know. I don't know what the money from the tuition goes towards besides the salaries. I can only get wireless internet access in 2 buildings on the entire canpus.

That I am apart of Student Government and how proud I am of my HBCU.

When I speak about Bowie State University to my peers, I emphasize the History behind this institution. Many people don't understand what it truly means to attend an Historically Black University, which is why I personally make it my initiative to explain its greatness to others. Bowie State is one of the oldest Historially Black institutions in the country, and as far as Maryland is concerned, it's the very first. Bowie State has expanded my knowledge in all aspects of life. Bowie State University had taught me a number of things, and for that I am truly greatful!

There is a train station right next to the university and has a metro bus that comes right Bowie. Since i am a commuter student, Bowie's easy transportation makes it easy for me to commute to and from school.

Bowie is a great university if your interested in attending a historically black college.

The small class sizes in the upper level courses (i.e. the 300 and 400 level) allow us students to form personal connections with our professors. Even now, one of my professors currently helps me gain community service and internship opportunities. I also get more detailed advice on my assignments due to the small classroom sizes.

I brag about the one on one teaching experience i get from all th staff here at Bowie State University. Every member of the staff are dedicated in ensuring all students are helped in a timely fashion in order to succeed in school. No matter the proble there is always a membe of the staff there for you to seek advice from.

When I go back to my hometown and I tell my old high school friends about school the first thing I mention is the partying. In college there will be more than enough distractions to keep you from doing your school work. Partying is just one of the many things there is to do at school. Parties are designed to leave you broke, in college you will have little money. After a while you get tired of partying and realize every party is the same. Enjoy the freedom but not too much because it's costly if you fail.

The thing I brag about the most is, again, the class size. Our workload is still up to the standards of a university but we have more communication with our professors and I love that.

That BSU is both twenty minutes from the Baltimore and D.C area.

I brag about my GPA and how well I do in school and my career plans to become a Registered Nurse.

Personally, there are only a couple things I brag about Bowie State University. Because Bowie State wasnt my first choice I had a hard time adjecting to this change of schools. Even if all my friends attending Bowie State, I knew i wanted to branch away and make new friends and live in a new setting. But overall, the two thing I can brag about Bowie State University is the friendship between one another and the fun we share, including memories of clubs, activites, and the sharing of good grades of a well done.

I brag about how easy it is to walk to and from school buildings.
