At Bowling Green State University, there are many stereotypes. But none of them really fit all students at BGSU. We have jocks, frat boys, nerds, etc., but none of them really fall into one category. Some nerds are great at basketball, some frat boys are starting charitable events, and jocks are doing extremely well in school. BGSU is a work hard during the week, party hard on the weekend school, and students here have a higher average GPA than most schools around the country. So, none of the stereotypes are completely accurate.
The truth of the matter is that where ever one may go to gain a higher education will find some aspect in which individuals will want to take part in social activities in masses. This is true, however students still remain very focused on their academics during such times. Upon arriving on campus, I was surprised to see the change, it was like day and night. Monday thru Thursday everyone did their work and focused on their academics. When Friday hits, you'll see a usually crowed they may wish to partake in the social activity of partying, however it entirely up to the individual as if they should partake or not. So no, I do not believe that this is a accurate stereotype. Since almost everywhere University, or college will have their own party atmosphere, it is what you make of it. One can partake in if they wish. There is always something to do here on campus.
