Classes are small and professors take time to get to know you. Many of them take time to help you. Most of the teachers I had care about what they do and about their students. One of my teachers even introduced me to another teacher that literally saved my academic career countless times.

The classes are small, much more comparable to a high school class than a large lecture. Most teachers will know your name at least by mid-semester. They have a lot of different courses to offer in all different subject areas too.
