I chose to apply to Bryan College of Health Sciences because it is a private school and the class sizes were much smaller than the large Universities in Lincoln. I felt that I would succeed in my education with a more personal relationship with my teachers having only around 30 students in each class than at a large university where there are around 200 students in a class. The college is also within driving distance to my parent's house and I have the privilege to go home whenever I want to or have time.

The teachers have a great understanding and knowledge of the courses they are teaching. The school provides a lot of services to make sure that all students feel comfortable but also provide help if needed. The atmosphere is light and fun and you can tell that everyone enjoys to be in the school. This is one of the best colleges I have attended, which I have attended 3, and because of the teachers and the atmosphere this is the school that I want to get a degree in and will be very proud of myself when I receive it.

In the state of Nebraska, one clinical instructor is allowed to oversee 10 students. At Bryan College of Health Sciences, the ratio is usually 6 students to 1 instructor, giving the students more one on one time with the instructor. Also, at Bryan, I will receive 1200 clinical hours, which is double the state requirements. These factors will provide me with a lot of experience and allow me the opportunity to ask more questions and become a better nurse.
