An amazing business school with great academics, professors, and opportunities. If you graduate from Bryant you will be prepared for a job and a successful career ahead. Bryant offers a close-knit community- sometimes it can be cliquey due to size, but mostly everyone is friendly and welcoming. The campus is absolutely beautiful and classes/buildings are easily accessible. Classes can sometimes be challenging but help you grow as a student. The class sizes are perfect ranging from 15-25 students; you will receive the attention that you need and if you are struggling professors are always willing to spend extra time to help you. Bryant is known for business but is growing its liberal arts school into a well-rounded option. Either way, anything you study here is extremely valuable and people are becoming more accepting of that. We are a small D1 school, so there are a lot of athletes on campus and sporting events to attend. Bar nights occur usually on Tuesday's and Thursday's and there is always stuff happening on the weekends in suites or townhouses. Very fun for a small school! I have made some of the best friends and memories here. Bryant has a growing reputation all around and is an amazing school. I highly recommend it to any prospective student!

I love Bryant University. The small campus creates a great community atmosphere. There is always something to do and plenty of people to do them with. Everyone is there for the great education and valued degree. It is a business school, so most classes are focused around this aspect. There are many great professors that want to teach you and help you succeed.

I love Bryant. It's a small school, roughly 3,400 undergraduate students, so no matter where you go, you are almost always guaranteed to see someone you know. The food is alright, about as good as any institutional food will be, but there are plenty of dining options on campus. There are over 100 clubs and organizations on campus, so no matter what you are into, there will be something for you. The school is big on student involvement, and everyone is encouraged to join a club or two. Whether you are into parties, or just like to stay in on a weekend, there is always something going on on campus.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

It is great for business and some liberal arts. The school is particularly interested in gaining acclaim throughout the country so they push us hard. However, if you are an avid artist, this school is not for you. There is no arts culture and it is hard to have that sort of creative outlet here.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

I love Bryant University. I was extremely nervous about living on campus and away from home but the people here are like a family because of the size of campus. It's a pretty small campus but the class sizes are perfect and the professors are great. The food is alright but the facilities like the library and gym are in very good condition and easy accessible. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking to go into business to join the Bryant community.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

Bryant University is the coziest corner of the Smithfield woods. Providence, Boston and New York City are just a bus ride away and weekly target trips are the best. At Bryant, we care about one another. Guys hold the door for girls and girls hold the door for guys. Friends and acquaintances share smiles with each other walking down the path to lunch or to class. The campus itself is beautiful all year round, but especially in the fall. The grass is gorgeous and the yellow and red trees make lovely shade around the pond in the middle of the campus. All kinds of nature is all around, including the squirrels named Skimp, Skamp, President Bush, and Chubber Muffins. Bryant is trying really hard to get our College of Arts and Science just as popular as our Business College. We have a radio station and a TV studio and I hear that the classes are challenging but very fun. All of this is in preparation for us to get the career of our dreams, which in fact is a 99% success rate. The news of other campuses around us are not always that comforting, and are usually really scary. Just to know that I live on campus at Bryant is reassuring because, as President Machtley says, our campus is like a little "Utopia."

What is your overall opinion of this school?

Bryant University serves as a home to many; from athletes to commuters, there is a place for everyone within our small but humble community. Bryant captured my interest due to its intimate yet inviting environment and beautiful lush campus. We don't try hard to be the biggest, nor do we claim to be, but Bryant without a doubt claims to love and care about each of its students and faculty. I may be a little bias, seeing as how I truly do love my school, but Bryant really is an amazing place filled with even more amazing people (and an extremely adorable live mascot named Tupper). Bryant may not be for everyone, but once you're a Bulldog, you're always a Bulldog.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

In my opinion, Bryant University is definitely deserving of its five star overall rating. As a senior about to graduate, I feel that Bryant has given me all the tools I need to succeed in my professional career. The teachers are all very nice and extremely knowledgeable on the subjects they teach, many have extensive field experience.

Bryant University -Best of Both Worlds

Bryant is known for its great academics, especially in turning out great grads who get jobs. While we work hard in the classroom, we also have fun on the weekends as well as in various clubs, sports, and extracurricular activities.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

To say in a few words what my opinion of Bryant University is, I would have to call it home. While for some people the very small size would be on their “con” list, for me and many of my peers, the small size gives it an incredible community feel and easy to call home. The best thing about Bryant is how friendly and helpful the community is as a whole. Professors are approachable and always around for extra help. Facilities workers and all other employees at Bryant are also so friendly and helpful and make this school an amazing place to be. There’s no question that the reason for so many great attitudes on campus is the influence of an amazing leader, President Ron Machtley, who has undoubtedly made Bryant the well-known school it is today. While Bryant may not be well known to those who live outside the Northeast it is quickly becoming a nationally known school within the last few years. Bryant has reached the Top Ten list of best Business Schools in the country and has been gaining name recognition through the many titles athletics have been winning at the Division One level. When telling someone I attend Bryant the reaction is always one of being impressed. Most students’ main complaint about campus is the food. Being such a small campus there are limited food options but the school has made many improvements in the past year and they are continuing to do so.

What is the stereotype of students at your school? Is this stereotype accurate?

There are a few stereotypes of students at Bryant and while yes they are mostly true, the majority of students are very friendly with one another and they get along just fine. While athletes tend to stick together and the Greek life students stick together, the foreigner students hang out together, and there are different cliques of girls who mostly just hang out with each other, Bryant does a great job of integrating the students. Group work and interactive classrooms are a big part of Bryant life and that helps you make connections with people outside of your normal social circle. Bryant is a small tight knit community with involved students, odds are you will work with many different kinds of people and know who many people are outside of who you normally hang out with. Everyone eats in the same dining hall and attends classes in the same building; this too makes it so students interact much more with people outside their norm.

What are the most popular student activities/groups?

There are many different groups and activities to be a part of and to get involved with while at Bryant. Athletics are a huge part of Bryant life and while these division 1 teams are very prominent and somewhat elite, there are other ways to get involved in athletics. There are intramural and club sports that many males and females partake in. Popular sport activities include intramural basketball and soccer, flag football, and men’s and women’s rugby. There is also Greek life on campus. If you are looking for a school with a very prominent Greek life, Bryant might not be the place for you. However, there are a few sororities and a few fraternities that are very involved on campus. The Ski and Snowboard club has many members, as well as Her Campus Bryant, Student Ambassadors, My Path Leaders, and the radio station (WJMF) are all great activities to get involved with. The dating scene at Bryant is a mix between very serious relationships and the usual college hook up scene. If you are looking for either of these things it may not be too hard for you to find either. People at Bryant seem to form very close bonds with the people they are either teammates with or who they live closest to freshman year. I met my closest friends by all living on the same floor freshman year. Bryant students certainly know how to have a good time whether it be drinking at a party or participating in different activities in the Fisher Center. There are many parties and a great social life scene if you want to drink and go out with friends. If you do not want to party there are also many activities put on by the school and the Student Programming Board on the weekends such as free movie showings, game nights, bingo, or arts and crafts activities. There are many things to do off campus because of Bryant’s location. There are great places to go out and to go out to eat at in Providence which is about a 15-20 minute drive from school. Providence offers pretty places to walk near Brown University, great shopping venues (The Providence Place Mall!) and amazing restaurants on Federal Hill. The Lincoln Mall and Smithfield Crossing are also nearby and offer many places to shop and go out to eat. Narragansett Beach and Newport are both about a 40 minute to 1 hour drive depending on where you are going. Boston is also not far from school and that makes for a fun weekend or day trip!

Describe the students at your school.

While the "majority" of our students are your average middle to upper class, New England residents, there is a great portion of other types of students as well. For example, over 8% of our students are international students. Some examples of students home countries are: Canada, China, Ecuador, Ghana, India, Jamaica, Korea, Vietnam, Venezuela, among many others. Bryant is a diverse place to learn about other cultures. The 3,287 undergrads at Bryant come from 32 states and 63 countries around the world.

What are the academics like at your school?

Academics at Bryant are rigorous, challenging, and revolve around group work. Recently Bryant has been ranked among the Top 10 U.S. Business Schools, #4 in Management, #5 in Marketing, and #6 in International business according to College Factual. Many classes are lectures with a decent work load outside of class. However, lectures at Bryant are a little different than most schools, a class at Bryant normally contains less than 30 students, and the ratio of advisers to students is 2:1. Class discussions are an integral part of learning at Bryant with the small number of students in every classroom. You will not find your typical lecture style large class here. Homework is given often and the course load is challenging but that is what makes Bryant such a great school. Most classes are taught with a global perspective to prepare students for the “real world”. A main pillar for education at Bryant is comparing business and liberal arts. If you major in something from the Business School you must minor in something from the Liberal Arts school and vice-versa. This is a great way to make students well rounded in their studies and ultimately in their mode of thought.
