Bucknell University Top Questions

What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

When people tell you Bucknell is in the middle of nowhere, don't underestimate that statement. Lewisburg is a cute, quiet little town with lots of shops and restaurants that are great to go to, but there is no where to go outside of a 5 mile radius. If you have a car on campus you are able to go to the nearby Walmart and Target, but other than that there's really no other place to go. Everything I need is offered on campus, however, and I never feel like I'm missing out by living in farmland.

I wish I had known what a big presence Greek life was on campus. I had not planned to go Greek, but it was important socially, so I decided to rush. It was definetly the right decision and I have had an amazing time with my sorority and it is not the debutante-esque social club I was expecting. Greek life at Bucknell has a great balance of social and fraternal activities.

That is is beyond freezing most of the year and the weather seems to be bipolar.
