I have not been there long, but the time I have spent has been beyond expectations. I was very scared to go to college, but the school has made me feel welcome and accepted every step of the way. The teachers have all been supportive and passionate and I have already learned a great deal. I am excited to continue my college journey here.
This is my first semester at Butler County Community College, and it's already the most amazing choice I've ever made. The faculty is helpful, the college is small enough that I can comfortable walk to my classes, but big enough that they offer a lot of great things. I look forward to learning here.
I really enjoyed my time at this community college. I spent two years at this college and I got a lot of my gen eds out of the way to save money. I believe that academics I have learned were amazing. The one-on-one between faculty, professors, or even just staff were amazing.
It is a nice school and the staff if very nice. I do go to a branch campus so I do not have all of the opportunities that students at main campus would have. I think it is a nice stepping stone option for students to continue on. They are very persistent about getting you into the classes that could benefit you but there are always mishaps where you do not get placed into a class you needed because your advisor forgot to add you in.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Butler County Community College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
If I could go back and give myself advice when I was a high school senior I would advise myself to apply to more colleges. As a senior I wasn't sure what kind of college I wanted so I would have advised myself to visit several different colleges to experience what each one would be like. I attend a community college because it is much cheaper than most other schools, but I wish I would have went away to a college. I would have advised myself to go to a larger school because I think there is an important element missing from my college experience. I believe that my classes and my grades are the most important thing, however, I miss the friendships that students build when they are staying at a college. I would advise myself to visit a variety of colleges to find a good fit for myself, and then stay in a dorm where I could get to know a whole new group of people.
I have not taken any classes yet but with each class brings a new and exciting group of colorful people with different personalities. I have taken many college courses and what i have found with my classmates in each class is the maturity. People in the class WANT to be there. They want to learn and get a degree. You can see the ambition and the want for a degree with each conversation you have with each classmate. I enjoy going to school and sitting with other classmates who are doing their homework, wanting to learn and have conversations.
Butler County Community College is best known for its high envolvment and contributions to the success and happiness of each student. I firmly believe this because the college provides scholarships to people who need financial aid assistance. The councelors work with you to help you find your future path and carreer field. They listen to your propblems and try to find ways of helping you get back on your path. Everyone at the college works in a family environment. They are all very nice people and willing to help.
The worst thing about my school is the fact that it is so small. It is a community college, not a large university, so it is what one would expect for a community college. Looking back, I can now see that I would much rather prefer a larger school. This college is nice and it does have students from various backgrounds, which makes most everyone feel welcome; however, I would prefer a school with a larger student body.
I would recommend this college to someone who would prefer remaining close to home. This college is ideal for someone with a busy schedule who may be working full-time while going to college. Butler County Community College is a very friendly school. The campus is relatively small, but it allows students to get to know one another.
I wish i knew that community colleges are not just for adults going back to school and people who were not smart enough to get into a real college. This is a myth. Many people who go to community colleges are actually very smart and the classes are not easy like I expected. It is a very good idea to go to a community college until you figure out what you really want to do and major in. It saves alot of money that most college students don't have.
That is the beauty of community college. It is for everyone. There are various programs for academic help and great teachers/professionals to help guide you in all acomplish. There are many opportunities, and close knit classes. Which is nice if you deal with anixety, like me. It is a truly great experience and helps guide you to the best choice, like a four year school/institution or a trade.
