Butte college is a very nice community college. One of my favorite things about Butte is the professors, most of the professors are Grade A, you can tell that they want you to succeed. They are almost always available and willing to help. Another benefit is location they are located among rolling green hills, it’s a truly beautiful campus. Although they are located outside of any city they do offer a schedule of free bus rides.

I think Butte College is a great school with good teachers. I have only been during Covid so it has taken some getting used to for myself and the teachers. The price is great, especially if you are a local because it is free when you take the right steps.

I absolutely love Butte College; Butte College prides itself in putting students first and makes sure everyone feels comfortable not only in classes, but also while participating in events on campus. Butte College also takes pride in sustainability because we are one of the top leaders in sustainability in California as well as we are the first College to become grid positive. One of Butte College's values is diversity in our community. We work hard to make sure everyone has a voice as well as feels safe on our campus. We have events during the semester associated with diversity such has tributes to specific individuals who had a lasting impact on groups of people like Nelson Mandela. Finally, Butte College offers 160 different degrees and programs ranging from our Welding program, which is one of the top in the state, to our many allied health programs like EMT, RN, Police, Fire, Respiratory Health, etc. All of the staff and faculty members care deeply for the students and do everything they can to ensure everyone has an equal opportunity to achieve the highest success not only in our academic studies, but in our lives in general.

Butte College FAQS

  1. What is the Acceptance Rate at Butte College?

The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Butte College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

If there was one thing that I know now and wish I could tell myself in high school, it would have to be that: if I want anything in this world, it takes more than wishing for it. In high school, I wanted my future to be planned out and organized; a smooth ride. However, now that I am older and considerably wiser, I now realize that anything good in this world does not come without hard work. I would tell my high school self that the road ahead is rough, and there is no one that's going to help you. So, you must help yourself. Nothing about college life is easy: the juggling of a professional, scholastic, and social live; the constant reading and writing; the seemingly overbearing exams; and not to mention the cost. With all of these stresses though, the only thing stopping a person from succeeding is oneself. I would tell the younger me that, while the road ahead won't be easy, hard word, dedication, and discipline are the only tools you need to build a successful future.
