Kentucky Tuition Program

 

Kentucky is a member of the SREB's Academic Common Market. This program is a tuition savings plan offered when a desired degree is not offered by an in-state college. Students can enroll in an out-of-state college that offer their degree program. Students pay for in state tuition rates at any participating state. Other participating states are Arkansas and Alabama.

Kentucky offers an in-state tuition program to cover college costs. For instance, the KY Saves 529 is the state's tuition saving's program or 529 plan. It is an investment account to encourage saving for your future education. The 529's tax benefits have tax-free withdrawals and tax deferred growth. Also, the plan covers the following school expenses: tuition, fees, computers, books, room and board.
