California College of The Arts was founded during the Arts and Crafts Movement; A movement where social issues influenced art. These ideals through anti-industrialized processes have remained unique and important aspects in CCA's development. Because of the individualized attention due to the small college size, each student is given the opportunity to flourish within their specified major. The curriculm is very focused to your major, but the unique facility arrangement allows for a broad display of other student work from other disciplines. Any day when walking through the halls you can be influenced by a number of different classes, and be able to listen to their critiques, you can learn as much from just observing an outside review as you can from going to class, and it is encouraged from faculty.
