What's unique about your campus?

Brandon

The best aspect of my university is the sustainabiltiy aspect. The school is very focused on being green in all aspects and making sure that students are involved in conserving energy, water, and recycling. This is inspiring and has helped me in my own life. Also, the school is small which allows me to always get into whichever class I need and recieve individual attention from my professors.

Alexandra

The best thing about my school is the relationships students have with their professors. All of the professors are very helpful and they want to be there for you. Every time I ask for help from a professor they are egar and willing to help me. It makes me very happy to see professors caring about their students the way they do at Cal State Channel Islands

The best thing about CSUCI are the small class sizes. In my major my biggest class so far has been 30 students. The professors are really easy to get a hold of and want their student to exceed expectations. Prof get to know students by first name and participate in projects. I feel more inclined to try harder and compete against my classmates to get the best grade. No class is taught be a teacher assistance, and office hours are extremely helpful.

Mark

The best part of my school; being a small Cal State, is that it focuses on its students. The small classes give students a personal learning environment and a direct connection to the instructor. I had attended U.C. Riverside previously before I transfered to CSUCI. The U.C. classes were around 300 students. My classes currently are about 30-60 students. The U.C. institution has some of the most well established professors in their fields of study. I have more opportunites at the CSU to delve into my professor's thoughts and experience which benefits me better.

Nicole

The classes are very small. 30 to 50 is a general size for a class. It is more one on one and the professors are always willing to help.

Elizabeth

The classes are small and the campus is quiet which allows a lot of time to study. People dont party on campus. housing is nice and clean.

Erica

The best thing about CSUCI is the availability of the faculty. Most of them are willing to help you on anything you need, even if it doesn't directly involve topics related to their course.

Krista

I felt such a sense of community and belonging. I went to four colleges before I earned my BA, and CSUCI was the only one where I felt like I was accepted for who I was, the only place where faculty and staff took the time to get to know me and help me develop my talents and interests to become a better student and a better person. I made my some of my best friends while I was at CSUCI, and I felt so prepared as I graduated and entered the work force.

Danielle

The best things about CSUCI is the community the school has established. I feel that the school is very student oriented, and it is student driven. I really enjoy the closeness of the school and the small classroom setting.

Richard

The best thing about CSUCI is how relaxing the campus and surrounding environment (a few hills and farms) are. I'm not into drunken parties and clubs, so this is perfect for me to actually get stuff done.

Mike

Enviromental Friendly!

Torrie

CSUCI is a much like a private school at a public school's cost and the class size is just right.

Colette

You can get a good education for cheap.

Alexandra

The best thing about CSUCI is the availability of the teachers. I have been able to have one on one conversations with almost all of my professors and have always been able to get help when I need it because they have assigned office hours and are willing to stay after class as well. Even if you are not able to meet with them during their office hours, most of them will set up another assigned time to meet with you if you ask them.

Rachel

I like the class sizes because the professors have enough of an opportunity to get around to every one who needs help or has a question.
