Entering California State University, Sacramento as an 18-year old freshman was very nerve-racking to say the least. The first week was more than traumatizing and horrifying, simply because I was so young and felt so irrelevant in a world of individuals who had lives, were smart ( a lot smarter than me ) about school, the world, relationships, etc. One word to describe it was overwhelming. The second week was better, the second week was the week of the infamous Formal Recruitment where any young girl could find herself searching for that home away from home, (filled with 100 other girls, that is). I was on edge, I was nervous, but I was also wonderfully excited to meet girls who were just like me, and longed to do the exact things I dreamed of. During this recruitment, there was lots of small talk, and not remembering people's names, 3 long days of small talk, not being interested in a party, except for one, Alpha Phi, the top house at Sacramento State University, I was always excited to meet those Alpha Phis. They were beautiful, sweet, and held themselves like women. A woman that I wanted to be. After those 3 long days, I was fortunate enough to have opened a bid from those Alpha Phi girls themselves. Although this story is not about Alpha Phi, it does play a large role in how I would review my university, because if it wasn't for my sorority, my rating would be significantly lower. I rate my school with very high pride and honor because when I walk around the campus I feel comfortable. I am surrounded by people I know and recognize. There's social life, and there's 150 women who push me to get good grades. I have enjoyed every class I have had the pleasure to take. I have enjoyed the conversations outside of class. I have enjoyed all of the wonderful people I have met through this tough, yet extremely rewarding journey. And I am proud to be a Hornet.

Sacramento state University is an overall great campus. It is a really big campus with a lot of great different programs for many different majors. The halls also are apart of a great community that is located on a perfect location not too far from campus.

I believe that California State University, Sacramento is a great college. It's not much of a college atmosphere though. It could definitely use more school spirit. The sports programs could be a lot better as well. But overall it is a great college and I would recommend it to anyone.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

Sacramento State is a great school. It is a commuter school so sometimes its hard to find parking, especially in the beginning of the semester. There are many clubs or organizations that you can join. People are friendly but it certainly may take an effort to make friends if you don't know anyone there.

it is a decent school for the masses, nothing to shake a stick at but all and all a reasonable option for many different individuals. Try avoiding the dorm life right off the bat, it is not worth the price for the experience and the on campus food is great but pricey.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

Sac State is one of California's largest commuter schools, so while the campus is abundant with students on the weekdays, it's empty on the weekends. There are a million places to study on campus, and the students are friendly and willing to help someone out when they ask for it. The campus is gorgeous, with over three thousand trees planted since the creation of the school. Sac State is a great university to go to regardless of your major, and they are open to all types of people, I highly recommend it.

I love Sacramento State. First off, the campus is beautiful, especially in the fall season. The classes are challenging, the profressors are passionate about what they're teaching and pretty involved with the students, and students and faculty are all friendly and kind.

Sac State is a cool chill campus. We're a really diverse and lovley campus. The people are generally cool and we have amazing professors and some subpar professors like any school. This school really works hard to make college better any way plausible. The best aspect of the actual school is the incredible services offered (already included in your tuition). The Well had a huge awesome gym, free doctor and counseling services, cooking classes, eye doctor, pharmacy, work-out classes etc. The campus is beutiful and affordable.

I believe that Sacramento State University has a beautiful diverse environment, where the teachers and staff are there to support you to be successful while having a great time. The campus also has many buildings where they offer you with a free space to learn and meet new people to study with or places where you can get free materials needed for class.

If you have an affinity for squirrels, plant pollen, and the American River, then Sac State may be the college for you!Warning: attending school here requires you to basically be a ninja; finding a parking spot on campus definitely requires ninja skills. It also requires you to come already equipped with a "squad"; Sac State is a HUGE commuter school (hence the terrible parking situation)-most people rush home immediately after classes thus making friends pretty hard. Joining a club or fraternity/sorority is highly encouraged, although we lack housing for the Greek community. Sac State has a charm to it though; I always felt like I was in a movie during the fall when the millions of trees that surround campus had their leaves change colors. I also appreciated the fact that class sizes were relatively small and I actually had professors actually teaching classes as opposed to TA's. All in all I enjoyed my experience here-creepy stalker squirrels and all.
