What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

Michael

The most frustrating part about my school is how full the library gets during finals week. I study in the library everyday now and i like it when it is relatively empty.

Esmeralda

This campus has to be one of the largest commuter schools in the IE. With that being said, one of the most frustrating things is the traffic. Staying clost to home, I would never have imagined being late to class would be an issue. As you become more familiar with the area, you will learn all the side routes and the times when it is most impacted. Traffic can be a dilema, but with the right route and plenty of time before hand, this will not be a problem as much as it can be.

Rosemary

The most frustrating thing about my school is the gym. I get really frustrated with the gym because it gets very packed and you have to wait for certain machines. Besides that I am very Happy with the school I attend. So far it has given me a great experience.

brenda

It is almost impossible to get general education classes! It is delaying my graduation and I cannot get priority because there are so many international students at my school!

Maritza

There is no school spirit.

Viviana

The faculty.

Heaven

There is very little feeling of togetherness and feeling of belonging to a group. It feels more like a commuter school.

Savanna

Nothing is really frustrating within CSUSB its such a great school. Except that it's becoming really impacted, with classes and so many people because a lot of people want to attend CSU's.

Bianca

There is absolutely nothing frustrating about my school. Everything is great! Good vibes throughout the whole campus.

fantasia

The most frustrating about my college i would have to say school spirit. Me, my self coming from a high school with extreme school sprirt and it being my first year in college i thought everyone would have school spirit, but it isnt. The most and best school spirit i've seen while attending college is slim to none other than the soar i attened before my fall quarter. Its bad because as a first year student you expect more when it comes to that but it isnt and i stay on-campus.

Laurette

The budget cuts have forced tuition to be raised which hurts those that had their CalGrant taken away (like me).

Elise

The lack of class sections available sometimes. Sometimes there is only one section for a class or it is only offered once a year. The communication of the school regarding fees, changes to policy, etc. It's not the best and is somewhat slow. Another challenge at this school is the school's focus on changing it's landscaping instead of using that money to hire more qualified teachers or use it inside the classrooms.

jose

I actually haven't attended the school yet not until winter.

Gil

The Budget Cost are increasing the cost for tutuion, which not only affect students enroll, in addtion is affecting transfer students and freshman being accepted.

James

The climbing wall in the gym only had certain hours of operation

Krystal-Jade

Considering my undergrad experience, the most frusterating thing about my school is getting others to communicate for my graduation purposes. For instance, I was almost not going to graduate twice just because people in the records and faculty for my degree were not communicating in order for my degree to go through. This also adds on to the problem of budget cuts because so many times did I or others have to push their graduation date because of cancellation or delay of classes. Therefore, I believe a person needs to put a lot of effort and time just to graduate.

Jamie

We keep trying to get an In-N-Out in the food court but they gave us a Denny's. Eww!

Katie

I was in the nursing program and the organization of the nursing curriculum was the most frustrating. Often we did not know when our clinical dates would be or who the instructor would be, making it difficult to plan the quarter around work and family.

Melissa

It's hard to get the classes I want when I want them.

Pakou

The most frustrating thing about my school is, of course the courses, especially registering for them and having to pay more than I'm supposed to, and not even getting all the classes that I want to take as well. It's really frustrating when I don't get the classes that I want to take; but in order to be a full-time student and graduate on time, I would have to take classes that I least want to take just so I would get the units required and I wouldn't be behind.

Felicia

I would say the most frustrating thing about my school is buying books at the start of the semester. It can be so hectic at the start of a semester, trying to find the books you need and want for classes.. I would suggest finding out as eary as possible , what books you need for what class and purchase them before the start of the semester.

James

The most frustrating thing about my school is trying to get an on campus job. Trying to get on is really hard and I am in need of a job. I only work once a week and it is back home. I have applied for a student assistant job and to my rec center twice. I have gotten nothing.

Jennifer

Not enough funding to have the best opportunities possiable. Also there is not enough campus spirit and support for the greek life which promotes community service throughout the community.

Trayevion

The most frustrating thing about this school is the drama that circulates around certain people. Now no one is perfect and they try to handle the situation as best as they can, but they let little things get the best of them, such as boyfriend/girlfriend drama. You're not in school for your boyfriend/girlfriend, you're in school to get an education. Of course this only becomes a problem when they drag other people that arent even in the problem into the drama. It effects others studying and can effect their grades in the long run.

Ian

Unlike other schools that i applied for, CSUSB is a commuter school with a stale campus life and a lack of school spirit. The leading sport at the school is girls volley ball fallowed by men's basket ball. I really wish that there was a foot ball team here to boost the school spirit.

Shannon

The thing that is most frustrating at my school is the opportunity for success and achievement that is not being fully reached by many of the students. I am a returning student and more motivated than ever; I feel that the younger crowd of students don't care as much as they should, and the senior crowd is so ansty to graduate that they don't succeed at an above average level, they succeed to "pass."

Kayla

The fact that I really do not know anybody in this town because I came from a smaller town. Also, I do not know my way around the city and it is very hard to find my way around. The school is in a remote location with plenty of grocery and retail stores along with numbers of food chains but to find malls and restaurants is very difficult. I have to use mapquest a lot or ask a roommate.

Chylea

They need to offer more online courses.

Kristin

The parking is horrible during the weekday between 8 am and 4 pm. If you don't get there early, then you have to park in the back or farther away. There is also a lot of traffic going into the school in the morning. The aisles are kind of narrow and confusing too. Most people leave between 1pm and 4 pm, so there is always a whole lot of traffic leaving the school and getting on the freeway.

April

As a transfer student, they should be involved before they transfer. I always felt I was at an advantage attending a junior college first. However, when I transfered many of the instructors said that as a junior you should already be involved in your field and know the faculty members.

Michael

its an outdoor campus and sometimes its very windy. It reminds me of a base, with parking locations surrounding the outside perimeter of the campus.

Romina

The most fustrating thing about my school is that they should have the class that they offer actually availiable. Because sometimes when you go to register for the quarter you may come to find that some coourses or time availiable for that course is closed.

Leanne

The winds can be really fierce at times and sometimes the campus is closed.

LaCoya

The most frustrating thing about my school is getting the correct information from the financial aid office! Incoming students need to really seek help or know someone who understands financial aid in order to get the best out of it! I would like to say that, If you dont call or ask, they wont take it upon themselves to call and let you know! Its almost as if they expect you to know everything!

Danielle

The most frustrating thing about my school is that there is no help during the summer. They close down tutoring for the Spanish classes and they close down the cafeteria so there is no food available. We pay the same tuition during the summer as the rest of the year. There needs to be change.

KELLI

Everything is so spread out. I sometimes don't have enough time to get to places in between classes, or even get to class on time. I work full time and go to school full time. Its hard for me to get everything I need to get done.
