I wish I would have known more about the financial aid process. I wish I had been informed regarding the accredidation of the University. I wish I had known more about all the other programs/colleges that are available.
I wish that I had know that the school wasn't really that bad. Living in Lawton my whole life, everyone always joked that if you went to Cameron, you'd never make it out of Lawton or Oklahoma. The thing is they have some of the most interesting and talented faculty there, and with the low cost of school, it's a pretty good decision.
I wish that i would have been provided with more information on financial aid. Even after requesting information I was only made aware of the FAFSA.
Before going to Cameron I wish I would have had a map of the campus. The campus is fairly small, but to and incoming freshman it can be an overwhelming experience and there are very few resources as far as tours and maps are concerned.
What I wish I would have known would be to talk to my advisor about the classes I need to take and when to take them. I did not get off to a bad start but I wish I would have known what classes I needed to start with. Also I wish I would have applied for more scholarships to help me with book and housing fees.
I wish I knew how well the curriculum was built for the nursing degrees. I could have taken a few more classes online before I arrived to help get my degree faster.
I wish I would have known to apply for more scholarships. Even if I knew there was a chance I wouldn't get them, I still should have tried. Also, not to mess around too much in high school because college professors aren't easy on you at all about late homework!
When I was young I naturally dreaded the "hard work" I knew college would bring. I would've liked to know it wasnt as bad as I thought it would be but also fully understand the long hours of time that had to be invested out of class.
The importance of a 4.0 GPA.
i wish i would've known that cameron did not have a wide selection of sororities or fraternities on campus. There are only two main sororties and two main fraternities. I wish I would have known that the campus is very small and that there is not that much to do as in activities.
