Cape Fear Community College is an excellent school to begin your college experience at. With 3 different campuses at great locations, you'll be able to study whatever you like here. Cape Fear also has a great selection of online classes, for students who are busy during the day.

Destiny

Cape Fear is a wonderful school. There are more than enough opportunities to find something that you like, whether it's the feminist alliance club or the astrology course that is offered. The cafeteria stopped making food a long time ago. However, there is a caterer every day, and we have students in the culinary arts program who run one of our local restaurants. This restaurant happens to be right around the corner from campus. Located in our historic downtown area, there are plenty of options to do between classes, as well as before or after. Many of the professors have office hours that are set, as well as always checking their e-mail. I have never gone more than a few hours before receiving a response. Class size is kept to a minimum and allows for students to get the best education and receive one on one attention when it's needed. When choosing to go to Cape Fear, I was constantly told that people move states to come here, and now I see why.

Cape Fear Community College is a wonderful place to further your education. Not only are the students nice, the professors are awesome as well. I am able to meet with my professors at any time if i have questions or i need help with studying for exams. Not only are the professors available at any time, the tutors also have availability just about whenever. I enjoy going to this college because I am able to enjoy learning but also have a sense of safety around the campus

I love Cape Fear community college I think it is a great school to go to to figure out what you want to major in. The councilors there are very helpful. They help with setting up classes and which classes you need to take in your program they also help with financial aid and other questions people have. The teachers are very personable and great with answering questions and emails in a timely fashion. i would highly recommend someone to go here!

Don't wait! The easy cash you are enjoying from waiting tables is not going to help you build a solid future or hold your interest, and certainly isn't going to be good for your back in the long run! But don't go to school for the wrong reasons. You know you are pulled towards helping people and are interested in the health fields, so why take classes in another area just to please other people. If you follow your heart now, you won't find yourself going back to school 20 years later to finally follow your interests. You're going to be a mom and are going to have dreams for your own kids, so follow yours now and be the example you want them to follow. Have faith in yourself, you're going to be amazed at what your are going to accomplish!

  3. What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

I wish that I would have known that I can only transfer 64 semester hours from a community college to a university. I probably would have gone straight t a university, but it costs too much to attend. It's cheaper just to transfer to a university and get all the core classes out of the way.

I am the non-traditional student, married with 3 children, one who is about to enter college herself. I have decided to go back and attend Cape Fear Community College to pursue a career as a surgical tech. Cape Fear is known for their excellence in this program and for the tech's that come out of this program. I was nervous as it has been a long time since I was in school, but I had faith and went for it. I was recently accepted to the surgical tech program and was one of only 16 chosen to begin in August 2015. I am extremely excited about this opportunity and know that I will be graduating from the best school around that offers this program.
