I would reassure myself that high school is just a blimp in time. I would tell myself not to sweat the small stuff and really focus on academics above all else. Grades are the key to getting into the school of anyone's dreams. Having better grades could have helped me get more scholarships for school and I could have possibly gone to a four year school. I wasn't able to afford to go to UNCW out of high school but maybe if I pushed myself a little harder to get better grades they would have offered me more money. I love the school I chose as a Community College however, I would have liked to go to UNCW all four years rather than just two. I feel like I matured a lot my senior year of high school but I wish I would have realized how important my grades were sooner.

Go to college now while ypou are young, your mind is fresg and while youare in good phycial shape.

I would tell myself that my education is the most important thing at this point in my life. These skills not only will help me as a student but will help me for the rest of my life. In the future, I hope to teach in the school system for many years and somewhere along the way end up in Education legislation. UNCW is known as one of the best schools for Elementary Education and I look forward to being educated by my favorite university. It will allow me to use previous knowledge while challenging myself further. I believe these experiences will not only allow me to become the best student possible, but also inhibit me to become the best person I can be. Hands on experience, different learning strategies, and increased social opportunities at the university will help me become proficient in the degree and career I want to pursue. I am a firm believer that everything you learn in life is precious and can be used in any situation.

Knowing what I know now about college life and making the transition, I would advise myself to take introductions to lots of different subject before deciding on a major course of study. By experiencing a little bit of everything it is easier to discover ones natural path or purpose. Opposed to trying to force oneself into some preconceived notion. When one becomes a “college student” the world begins to open up before you– all the possibilities are revealed. Do not close your eyes to what might be, to who you may become because (at seventeen) you think you know who you are and what you want. Allow yourself to transmission into who you are meant to be - let yourself fed on the wisdom and knowledge of the cornucopia of higher education. Then follow your heart. Once you realize your true path everything will fall into place. The long hours you will spend studying, the sacrifices you will make will become a labor of love as you work to achieve your higher self.

Make a long term plan instead of just jumping right in. Apply for more scholarships because student loans suck. Always try your hardest and do as few online classes as possible.

Choose a school where you can grow as a person accademically, spiritually, and mentally. Go to a school that provides the best solution to your career dreams and will have helpful staff that will aid you. Choosing great teachers that know what they are teaching and genually want to see their students succeed is really rewarding.

Tim, first I will give you the strong advice of going to college as soon as you get out of high school. The information that you will learn is amazing. You will meet so many different people from various walks of life, while learning things about history and science that will blow your mind. You will have to have time set aside for studying to a better degree hen you did throughout high school. The time your going to spend in college is going to pass in the blank of and eye. The knowlege you're going to recieved is going to last several life times. It will help with many decisions that you will be making later in life. I can't plead with you long and hard enough of how important it is to attend college. I do know that college will be the best experience of your life.

If I could go back in time and talk to myself as a high school senior I would tell myself to do your very best in school. I would tell myself how important it is to get a good education and to work very hard. It is very competitive in the work world so I would tell myself how important it is to do well. I would also tell myself to never give up. Always hang in there and do your absolute best. I would also say that it is ok to make mistakes along the way because that is part of life. I believe our mistakes make us better people if we can learn by them. I never thought at age 42 , I would go back to school. However, I am excited to go back and feel this will help me to find a good job. I am a little nervous but I am also very excited. I feel this is the path I must take to get to where I need to be in life. I am willing to take this journey. I pray that my hard work will pay off in the end.

Go to Wittenberg. It’s a great school that offers a lot of opportunities. You’ll have a great time and have more friends than you’ve ever had in your entire life. As for the transition to college life, you’re going to do fine. I know that you’re emotionally closed-up because of the relentless bullying. Don’t be afraid to open up and let others inside. About the Dual Degree Program you’re set on. The best advice I have is don’t do it. It sounds great, getting two Bachelors degrees in five years, one from Wittenberg and the other from an engineering school, but it is going to be a hell of a lot of hard work. And it’s not worth it. You will not find yourself impressing employers with your academic prowess. Instead you will be answering questions like “Did you have trouble deciding what to do with your life?”, and “How do we interpret you GPA?” for most of your interview time, leaving nothing left for their standard interview questions. A better idea is to go to Wittenberg for four years, then go on to engineering school as a Graduate Student.

This is a question I have asked myself many times the last couple of years. For starters I had to admit to myself that my parents were right. I am the only person that can make use of the education offered to me. Remember to stay focused on the education offered to me and life will fall into place. In the long run, the struggle of school and working two jobs will pay off because no matter what happens down the road, no one can take my education from me.

I would have definetly prepared myself more, as far as listening and paying attention. Now I have a two year old daughter and not doing well financially, and I'm driven to do well in school, but if I would have payed attention more and did my homework more I would have been beter prepared

Go ahead and enroll! You don't have to spend fours years in college for the field you are interested in, and you can afford it! There is so much assistance available to you. The sooner you get to work on your goals, the sooner you'll be able to be a good example to your son and daughter. (That's right! You are going to have a boy and girl to take care of, to make proud, and who will need you to show them college is worth it and acheivable.)

Don't wait! The easy cash you are enjoying from waiting tables is not going to help you build a solid future or hold your interest, and certainly isn't going to be good for your back in the long run! But don't go to school for the wrong reasons. You know you are pulled towards helping people and are interested in the health fields, so why take classes in another area just to please other people. If you follow your heart now, you won't find yourself going back to school 20 years later to finally follow your interests. You're going to be a mom and are going to have dreams for your own kids, so follow yours now and be the example you want them to follow. Have faith in yourself, you're going to be amazed at what your are going to accomplish!

If I was still a senior in high school, I would have told myself to take college courses that Cape Fear Community College offered at my school. I would have been able to finish a semester earlier knowing that I could have gotten some college credit in high school. Also, I would have taken more A.P. classes because that is another way to receive college credit. My last two years of high school, especially my senior year, were the prime time years to push myself into making that extra effort to get ahead with my studies. As a senior in high school, I would have also told myself to go to the counselors at the college I was going to attend (Cape Fear Community College); therefore, I would be able to get a better understanding of the classes they offer for the major I choose to pursue (accounting).
