This school's idea of mentoring was horrible. I was majoring in Social Work online and had to find my internship; this was almost impossible. There was constant changing of the requirements for the internship, and if you couldn't find one, you could not graduate. It was an Online MSW program, and we were discouraged from communicating with each other outside of class. One teacher accused everyone of plagiarism, and when I tried to complain, my complaints were ignored. I was told I would have to take the class, fail it, then appeal it. It was a class on writing resumes. I was already in the field; I did not need help writing cover letters. Overall, the school is atrocious. A group of former students sued them, and nobody bothered to tell me. I could have gotten some of my loans canceled. Only attend this school if you do not have a choice.
I was enrolled in Walden University to start college a few months ago. I immediately asked to be unenrolled and was given information for Capella. Every since I have had contact with Capella, I feel they listen to me and are very proactive. I start classes June 5
I absolutely love Capella University! Their unique Flex Path program is everything! I love that I can set my own pace and pay per session rather than per credit hour. It’s so great to be able to breeze through classes than I understand well. I love knowing that the harder I work, the faster I will reach my goal and the less I will pay for it!!

A person who has difficutly communicating in the written word should not attend this school. Although all the classes are online, casual social-networking writing styles are not accepted as scholarly forms of communication in discusscions and papers are required to substantiate subject knowledge.
thenew iguide HAS CAUSED MY GRADEs from 4.0 for the last year there to a 3.0 or so, because of the waste of time trying to figure things out and find posts or figure out if my material went though correctly, I waste so much extra time and it causes much stress, frustration and at times late Work!
