Carroll University overall is a great school. The professors are extremely nice and considerate to everyone in the class. They're understanding; if you need extra help, they will set up a time that works for you. I do not know much about off-campus housing, but the on-campus housing is one of the best schools I've seen. The custodians work hard to keep it clean, and the facilities work great. No matter what you are into, Carroll has something for you. They offer copious sports options and clubs. There is something for everyone.
My overall opinion of Carroll University is that it is a good school that clearly cares about their students and their futures. This is shown in several ways, from your advisor being a professor that teaches your major, to the required CCE trip that evolves you into a more cultural person, to the ten free therapy appointments a year. The professors are always available to the students through an email, which shows that not only the school cares about their students, but the people who are teaching and encouraging learning care as well.
It could be a little more diverse and more protection of all students and not just some. I attend and sometimes I do not feel the safest but I do get through the day. Some teachers are very cool and some have this demeanor towards me. But it gives me motivation to move forward and push through to get my degree.
Carroll University is a place where you are encouraged to learn and grow. The campus is small, but there is still plenty to explore. The food is delicious and there are a bunch of options in case you’re picky. There are numerous places on and off campus to hangout with friends. There are 45 orgs, 23 athletic teams, and 5 clubs sports you can join to get involved. On-campus jobs are a great way to make a little money while in school. Carroll is full of amazing people. I hope you get to meet Gert, the grandma of Carroll.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Carroll University is 71%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
I would let myself know that, although college is a whole other game than high school, don't be in such a rush to experience everything. I've only been here a year and a half and it is flying by! Don't be afraid to do something spontaneous, to stay in one night, or to be smart and study ahead. You're number one priority in college is the education your parents are so unbelievably kind enough to pay for, do not waste that opportunity; but at the same time don't be afraid to do things on weekdays, you will never be able to when you're old with chlidren and responsibilities. Be young, be smart, be sassy, be the strong, independent girl you were raised to be. Make people PROUD (including yourself).
Carroll University is truly a home away from home where you truly feel as though the professors have time to help you.
So here I am with the answer to the best thing about my college! As a freshman, I was told to get involved and keep busy. The student clubs offer you a lot of knowledge and experience in just about any field of study or subject you are passionate about, and Carroll has many! So, Get involved! and Get ready! Because college is all about life learning experiences. Members in clubs/organizations will be encouraging and supportive of your personal growth. It will help to make you feel like you fit in and belong at your new school.
I am a violinist, and there are not a lot of opportunities for string players here.
Someone who likes smaller, close knit communities, and individualized attention. A huge major here is exercise Science, pre physical therapy and it is one of the best in the country. It is small enough to be home, but not so small that you feel enclosed, or isolated.
My classmates are serious, comical, diverse, focused, and young.
A person who likes big crowds and lots of people should not attend this school.
It is the oldest college in Wisconsin and it has the atmosphere of a large school with the attention and class sizes of a small school.
I tell my friends about the campus, the environment, and my classmates or other friends that I have made. The campus is beautiful and I feel very safe here at Carroll. I enjoy my small class sizes along with all of my classmates.
The financial aid process is the most frustrating thing about my school.
My school is really well known for a prominent nursing and health science program. Also for its small class sizes.
how expensive it was
Carroll University is a wonderful academic institution with small classes, and easily accessible professors whom are more than willing to help in any way they can. The campus is small and easily navigated which is nice in the bitterness of Wisconsin's winter weather.
The academic programs are good at Carroll. It's also one of the few Universities in the area to offer a bachelors of science for their undergraduate of psychology program.
The students at Carroll have many opportunities to join or participate in one or more of the several clubs or groups supported by the university. In addition to the clubs or groups, throughout the year many wonderful guest speakers and presentations are available for students to attend as they desire.
We really dont have a stereotype. Because we are such a small school and no schools around us, we dont get into trouble or cause a ruckus. We are generally good people at a good school.

All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA. Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
100% of students attending Carroll University receive some sort of financial aid. 26% were awarded federal grants. While 73% received federal loans. Many students do also need to apply for additional private student loans.
