The best thing about Castleton is the feeling of a private school at a public school. The size is just right and almost all of the facilities are very nice. The reason I feel these things are the best things about the school is because they are what helps to make Castleton different from any other school in the area.
The sceience department in general. Everyone is awesome so long as you work hard and strive to succeed. I see a lot of professors as friends and mentors rather than just teachers, I work with them, do research with them, travel with them, they are like extended family and help me so much to succeed at school and outside of school.
I believe that the best thing about my school is the Green Initiative. Castleton State College a few years ago implemented a new campaign to fight global warming and to reduce our carbon footprint. In each dorm there is a recycling center where the students are asked to recycle all of their trash. We also have it in all of the academic buildings. I believe that it is a very smart and responsible campaign and I am happy to be at a school that represents the future.
Castleton is the perfect size, not too small and not too big. The people there are very friendly and accepting. All kinds of people from all walks of life mix and mingle harmoniously there. The professors are typically great and have close relationships with the students. The president of our school is wonderful devoting equal time and money to the arts, sports, and academics
The people. I have met some of the best people at Castleton. I also love the campus, it's georgous and small. I love the location. I am from a city and wanted something different when I went to college. I love everything about it.
I consider the sense of community that perpiates this campus to be the best thing. It makes me feel safe and like I belong.
The best part of our school is that the professors relate to the students and care about what each one of them has to offer.
