Overall think the school is made for students who don't want the huge college life where you have to live there and have huge classes. At Central Ohio Technical College you have tiny classes, which means the teachers can help you more often. This school is great and hope to see more people apply!
I like it very much. They seem to have everything figured out, and they are a very credible school considering its size. I really like the feel of it, the staff is usually very helpful. The one thing I would say they could improve on is there pricing. Other than that, they are a very good school.
It's a good school, it doesn't have a lot of the extra stuff, they're more focused on learning what needs to be learned to make you successful, which I find very important and effective. All the professors do their best to teach you and they always make themselves available if you need extra attention. There's always someone there to guide you and assist you to achieve.
I enjoy that I am able to take all of my classes online so that I am able to have a flexible work schedule, home school my son, and deal with my anxiety. The class sizes are small in order to make it easier to meet with teachers or email them as a form of constant contact when you are on the run. The college is all about your success.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Central Ohio Technical College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
keep in mind that it's okay if you decide against your major. there is no need to feel pressured into anything. give it a realistic try and see if it works out. college is not as hard as people make it seem sometimes, if you really put your mind to it you can do it. remember, you're going to college for noone besides yourself and you should always keep in mind that this is only a very small time period in your life. enjoy high school while it lasts, but don't be afraid of college, it really isn't that bad.
How the financial aid process worked.
A person that is more interested in the typical "college life" should not attend attend this school because you have to be very determined to get through your program on time. Also, this school is in an urban/rural town so it is not the big city life and thereare not fraternities or sororities so there are very few parties, but the campus and student organizations that are on campus do have sponsor many student activities such as Bingo where you can win free prizes.
They are very involved in the community! Each summer they have something that they have called "College Aspire" in the past. This program is for youth ages 12-18 who may attend classes for one week. These classes cover all of the degree programs that Central Ohio Technical College has to offer such as: robotics (engineering), bussiness, cullinary, forensics, photography, and medical madness. When I was twelve I attended the medical madness program and the bussiness program the year after. In medical madness I not only was able to take classes but also become certified in CPR and First-Aid.
I think the worst thing about my school is that you do not get to take the summer quarter off like at four year colleges or universities such as Ohio State University. You go year around with two or three week long breaks for Christmas and other holidays of that nature. The reason for going all year around though, is to complete your college career in two years.
There is a great student to instructor ratio and instructors offer many hours during the day to help students. There is also a lot of hands on experience.
Central Ohio Technical College has an abundance of resources from tutoring available weekly to academic advisors who are always available to answer my questions.
My classmates and dedicated, friendly and want to succeed.
I'd say the best thing about my school is the class size; I have never had more than 35 students in a class. In most cases, the teachers learn everyone's name, which is something I sincerely value.
Somebody ready to make a change in there life that is ready to get things done with a nothing can hold me down attitude and expects to live there life to its full potential, and due great things because while being here your dreams are just within your reach and they were ment to be grabbed!! Also this person should seek dedication hard work and perciverance in all that they do for you limits have know boundaries if you truly look ahead at what the future has to offer!!!
The thing that frustrates me most about Central Ohio Technical College is the secondary campus classes. I live near their Knox branch, yet every semester I usually have one class that is not offered or is at a very incoveinent time frame on the Knox campus. Hence, I have to drive over an hour to get to the main branch everyday for that class throughout the semsester. This is not only gas money that is not covered by financial aid, but is also a huge waste of time that could be used for studying for that class or other classes.
