I wish I would have known about the all the resources available at the campus before I came. I mean, I looked at the website and visited the campus a couple times before I attended and I knew it was a great college but I didn't know just how many resources were available. After my second term I decided to take a college success and Career Planning classes (which I reccomend for everyone in their first term), and it opened my eyes to all the help they offer and resources offered for struggling students.
I wish I would have known the importance of group study work. Also the fun new world that would be opened by all the clubs and the activities welcomming all. I guess the one thing I would have liked to have known was that the people , studentsand staff, here are all on the same page and really just want to enjoy their experience and learn something.
I wish I had known sooner that I was going to be laid off by my former employer so I could have enrolled in school sooner.
I wish I'd known that the entire school was one big hill; I would have packed more energy bars!
I wish I would have had a clearer understanding of how the college views a learning disability.
I don't have any complaints yet, I will see when i get there in September
that no matter what the class is, its way easier to stay on top of your school work enstead of putting it off and trying to get cought up. also dont be afraid to just talk to new people everyone has something in common with you in one way or another.
What I wish I had known when I came to this school was that you should never be afraid to ask for help. I was always scared to look like I was the only one in class who was not understanding certain concepts and was afraid to look stupid if I spoke up. But I have came to find that I was not the only one, in fact there were many students who shared my same questions. By reaching out to just one student I was instantly connected with a ton of help and free private tutoring.
I wish I had known how easy it is to get help with your finacial aid so that I could have gone back to college to reach my goals earlier.
I wish I would have known how much money to save up for school and other bills I have. I guess I am refering to college life in general because there are a lot of unforseen expensis. If one doesn't prepare well enough they could be out of money before they are finished with the school year. It is very hard to buy a class room knowing that you have to pay your other bills at the end of the month.
I wish I had known how to manage my time better, study better and pick my classes better.
