I honestly don't have anything to complain about with Cerritos College; I enjoyed playing water polo for the Women's team. The pool and team rooms are super friendly. The classrooms could improve; it was very hot and hard to get to occasionally. Other than that, I enjoyed my time at Cerritos College.

I am very fond of this campus. Choosing to attend for my first two years of college was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Between saving money and an accessible campus, Cerritos College is an excellent student for students pursuing associate degrees, students that intend to transfer, and students returning to education alike. I plan on transferring next fall in pursuit of my BM, but I will continue to attend Cerritos College's music programs as Dr. Betancourt's instructorship is top-notch.

It is very nice here at Cerritos. It wasn't originally my college of choice but I ended up here. I thought it was going to be a bad school to attend and at first, I was embarrassed but later I found how useful all the counselors, professors, and students are when it comes to choosing a major and finding resources on how to be a successful transfer.

Cerritos College genuinely cares about their students and the city is which the college resides in. They provide services to aid their students when it comes to education, housing, and food. They speak up on issues going on around us and the world to assure their students that they are a safe space for all.

  4. What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

One thing I wish i knew before i started college is that the teachers in high school were serious that our furtures are in our hands and everything we do will reflect on to our future, showing up to class will help you pass class instead of going to play billards at the student center with your friends and that reading a chapter is not skimming a chapter. JUST DO YOUR WORK!

  5. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

Personally, I do not like having a routine, I like everyday to be different from the last, but at Cerritos, I'm stuck in a routine- a routine that lasts about FOUR MONTHS! It's the semester that I do not like, I much rather prefer the quarter system; I'd rather learn something new everyday and be in a fast pace environment instead of a slow moving, go two or three weeks talking about the same exact thing, kind of environment. Other than that, though, Cerritos is awsome! The people are friendly and the professors really care.

The best thing i'd say about school is learning and broadening your mind to things you didnt know that existed and have a clear open mind about the world and things that are there for us to explore understand and think about. If there was no school and no education, in my opinion we would all be ignorant.
